Good luck on your interview today bbutterfly!!!

Thank you Smurrito for your best wishes

I don't know exactly how to qualify the interview experience. We were in there for less than 20 min. She started by saying that she will not be able to make a decision today because we sent so much proof that she didn't have time to sort it out! I have to say it is the first time I hear of something like that

She asked the regular 485 questions and then how we met, how I came in this country and then ended by reminding us that she need more time to go through our file

After my husband asked her how long it would take for her to make a decision she said, she couldn't tell as of right now. She said if we haven't heard from them in 180days to make an info pass, but it shouldn't take her that long.

She didn't want to take the additional proof, and just took the updated credit cards statements(2) and the joint bank account statements.

After that she proceeded by talking to us about the whole removal of condition deal and how it would be important to remember to do that as they don't send a reminder.

She didn't ask for my passport nor I94.

So I don't know what to make of it, the interview was more like a conversation , not scary not overly friendly,

I guess we are still in the waiting game!

Hmmm...I haven't heard of anybody being penalized because they had too much info! Weird. My guy didn't ask for my I94 either - I asked if he wanted it and he told me to keep it until I receive my green card, just incase I need to leave the country...which led me to believe he didn't really know what he was doing since it was now invalid, but at this point he had already told me I was approved so I just listened :).

My interview was fairly straight forward. Got there about 10 minutes early (spouse is notoriously late for everything), waited for about 20 minutes in a crowded room but finally got called in. When we went into the office, our interviewer make us take the oath, and then said right away "your application is straight forward, I'm just going to verify some of your information on the application". Then proceeded to look at our ids, ask us parents names, etc. He asked if we had some pics, I did -I gave them to him but he didn't keep any, just browsed through them. I offered more info (joint bills, etc.) which he took, but I had to offer. Then said we were approved, gave us the ROC info and that was it! I got an email later that day saying the card was in production. I asked if he needed anything, my EAD or I-94...but nope, told me to keep them. The officer was very friendly, he recognized where my spouse worked and talked about that, was joking around, etc. We were in and out probably in 10-15 minutes tops.

Woooooohooooo...I heard those magic words from officer that "I will receive my GC in 2-3 weeks" ....Thank God and Bless that officer.

Details: Amazing officer and interview was very smooth lasted around 20 min.

We checked in Chicago office @ 7:40 AM my interview time was 9:00 AM but we called in by officer at 8:15 AM.

1.) we were sworn by officer.

2.) He asked for our IDs and my passport he detached my old I-94, my Birth Certi.

3.) He started with me and asked Full name, address, Birth place, SSN, some I-485 questions, Employer name and gave a paper to sign & date me and my wife.

4.) Then he moved to my wife and started to ask her personal details same as me.

5.) Asked about her status in US and asked for citizen certi.

6.) Asked when you started dating and know each other, my wife answered.

7.) Asked her that do you have joint bank a/c and did you file tax together? asked for copies of both.

8.) Asked for wedding location.

9.) Asked for wedding photos and we hand over album, based on it asked who is this when our photos came with our parents.
