For the AP, I received the following message, so I do not know exactly what I should expect, any idea??

Post Decision Activity

Sounds like things are moving for many of you...Great.

quick question: Do you know what is the process after the biometrics? I mean is it the local office you take over the files (in my case NYC) or are they sending the result back to Chicago and the local office come in the picture only for the interview stage?

I just trying to understand the difference of timeline between the different filers here :)

Thanks !!

They will have FBI check your background based on your fingerprints. Then FBI will send results to NBC [ National Benefits Center] and then if there's not any problem with your background check, they [ I mean people in NBC] will schedule you an interview. Finally you will go to your local office for interview :). It may take 1 month or longer to have interview letter after biometrics. Sometimes, FBI isn't able to process your fingerprints card so you will be scheduled for another biometrics appointment, like my situation.

 Email/Text notification about EAD card notification! I know it will take a few days to get in the mailbox, but it is exciting to know that I am finally able to return to work

Now, time to focus on getting everything ready for the interview. No need to check the website for update anymore until after the interview! yay!!!

That seems to be standard. It happened for me and for another recent poster. My guess is that the first two "Card Production" notifications signify (i) authority is given to issue the card, (ii) card is being/has been produced and finally, when it goes back to "Post Decision Activity" it means (iii) the card is now in the mail.

Still no biometrics appointment

Its been 30 days since they sent a service request for my biometrics to San Diego but they havent gotten back to me.

I called today and the ISO sent another service request but I asked if there was something else she could do considering that San Diego didnt respond to the last request, then she gave me lots of attitude about how many thousands of applications they receive. Nice, so much for customer service.

Hubby is calling the congresswoman tomorrow. I also have a job interview tomorrow which I applied to a month ago thinking that I would at least have done my biometrics by now.....Im obviously not going to get the job considering I dont have a work permit yet!!!!!!!!

Aaaarrrrggghhh so envious of you all but happy that you are all getting closer to the end (for now)

No, it was not the standard but now it is - something new which USCIS has had in the works for a while. They just announced they would be using them now a few weeks back so you must be among the first! I also read that if folks are filing from EAD only or AP only that USCIS will stick to the existing format of a card and page that they have now.

Interesting. Mine went into production in the days just before 15th and it does mention the combo card but I have card and paper AP. They must have updated the documentation to talk about combo cards ahead of actually issuing them.
