We wonder if our visa package looks the same as everyone's visa packages. there is a cut on the corner of the brown envelop, so there is small part of the documents exposed.

Yes, the corner is usually cut to expose part of the documents (only the Embassy is allowed to do this). Any other cuts or tears are not ok...big no-no to open it up yourself.

This is NORMAL, the US consulate in Guangzhou cuts the corner off the envelope, so that you can verify that the envelope contains documents.

Ours was like that back in 2007
