Rescheduling a biometric apointment because of snow?

Our biometric appointment is this week and I'm wondering what will happen if the weather is too bad for us to be going there. It's too late to reschedule and I've read somewhere that a no-show would just cause the AoS to be denied.

Any input?

11/07/10 ------- AoS Package received and singed for

11/10/10 ------- NOA1 received for I-130, I-485 and I-765 (emails)

11/19/10 ------- Biometrics appointment letter received

12/06/10 ------- RFE for I-693 (I think the issue is that it was not signed. Called USCIS and will receive a letter in a few days explaining)

Check the weather and the roads and do everything possible to be there. Leave your house as early as possible; even if I had to spend the night in front of the USCIS building, I would try to be there.

Yup! We were a little bit late because of bad weather, but it wasn't an issue. The whole thing took about 10 minutes! :)

Oh I know and I can't wait! Learner's permit, SSN, bank account... Add my name to so many things, and just be able to work. :)

so I did a "Walk-in" aka got to the ASC bit more then half an hour before my appointment - no rain, traffic smooth got me there earlier.

While I shaved this morning I practiced different smiles - the "incarcerated in-take with your inmate number infront of you", the awkward "high school picture day wearing braces" and the big grin they make you do at a Sears portrait studio.... in the end I don't know what I actually emote, didn't get to see the result.

Back to the appointment in Oakland, CA on Telegraph Avenue - Everything went smooth, my number was called quick, form was stamped and I was sent upstairs for the actual prints and photo-taking. Again just a short wait later it was my turn, scan one hand and thumb, then the other. Followed by single finger rolled scans and photo taken, making the whole visit about 20 minutes long.

For anybody going there, as of 12/17, the few meters on Telegraph in front of the building are broken and I didn't want to get a ticket so I just made a turn on 21st, a one-way street with only restriction of no parking between 3 - 6 a.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
