So when you get the notice for the bio appointment, can you do a walk in anytime or just on the day you have the appointment?

Would love to just stroll in when I get it rather than wait

Depends on your service center..Some do allow walk-in's and some don't. You could always try to attempt a walk in and see what they say.

Had my biometrics appointment today. I went on my appointment date and time and I still waited a hour. Wish I would have brang me a book.

Just as a reminder.. For those of you that signed all your papers with your new married name and still have your ID in your maiden name to bring your marriage certificate with you to the Biometrics appointment. They might ask to see it since the names are different!

If he has his deployment papers already, you should be able to request an expedite. Reason being, he has to be there for the AOS interview. Call the military helpline and see what they can do to help.

Now that is weird, fingers crossed you show up or they just send you your interview date.

I really need to figure out how to speed this up if possible, walk in when they notify of appointment if possible, I need to get working real quick.

Hi,

Quick question for you: did they cash your check before your packet was returned back to you?

Thanks,

Joe

Kiwirst- I just noticed they returned your AOS packet for improper fee (check amount) the first time, so I'm sure they did not cash your first check....

Sorry, misunderstood.

No they sent the incorrect check back attached to the RFE 797 notice, all we did was make copies of the RFE's & write out a new check for the correct amount.

I'm curious now, on my NOA1 docs I have no priority date, according to USCIS site, you can work out your application speed with this. Does anyone else have a date in their forms?

Good luck with it all, from what I've seen they are definitely not following any type of trend or pattern. I filed on Dec 10, RFE'd 5 days later, re-submitted Dec 21 & got emails a week later. Then you hear nothing for a similar timeline.

Has anyone got RFE (Initial or Additional)?

Done with biometrics yesterday and replied to RFE yesterday, too (Tax Transcript was missing to support AOS package)

Now wondering - when the miracle of interview or issue of papers might happen.

I cross fingers you won't get it!

Strange, but all emails I've got (on AOS/EAD) are with 'USCIS Acceptance Confirmation' subject but package was sent to Chicago and RFE came from Lee's Summit.

Is it NBC?
