I think the saying "When in Rome........" comes to mind.

I unfortunately will never loose this terrible Belfast accent of mine, and it only sounds worse when an American twang is added to it.

It does annoy me I have to dumb down my spelling and grammar but if I dont want to annoy the natives, I have to go with the flow.

I am really trying to keep my Canadian slang. If I have to spell out words that they spell differently unless it is on a government form I try to keep our way of spelling alive. Bringin a little culture to the US one step at a time lol

I got my Biometrics appointment letter in the mail on the 20th..The appointment is for January 5th 2011

Hope Ya'll get yours sooon too :) My service center must not be to busy!

I got my Biometrics appointment letter in the mail on the 20th..The appointment is for January 5th 2011

Hope Ya'll get yours sooon too :) My service center must not be to busy!

Posted my AOS on the 14th. Got there on the 17th.... Oh Maybe tomorrow I might get an email.

Either that or I have offended the USCIS gods in some way. I thought I had sacrificed enough money to them. $1070.00

Maybe its not a big enough tithe. Did I miss the blood oath as well?

I received my NOA1 on Nov30th via email and text. I then received the hard copies in the mail. Have yet to receive a biometics letter. Fingers cross! I live in Dallas, so supposedly our office is backed up.

Quick question do you get notified of biometrics via text/email or is this letter solely via the mailbox?

yesterday i recieved an email from USCIS an acceptance confirmation with a reciept number,

12/10/10-AOS/EAD/AP sent to chicago lockbox

12/24/10-AOS/EAD/AP NOA's hardcopy recieved

01/26/11-AOS transfered to CSC

01/26/11-recieved biometric appoinment notice dated.02/23/11

02/23/11-biometrics done

02/24/11-EAD card production

02/27/11-EAD approve

03/03/11-EAD/AP combo card recieved

03/04/11-AOS card production notice

03/08/11-AOS Approve

Just got 3 emails with three receipt numbers. So looks like my Applications have been accepted,

Congrats,

2010-08-12 -USCIS received the package

2010-14-12 -Received text & email from USCIS that they accepted our AOS & EAD Application..HAPPY BDAY MARIA!!

2010-20-12 -Got our NOA1 letters in the mail for our I-485 & I-765...A wonderful Christmas gift for us!!

2011-19-01 -Received Biometrics schedule!!

2011-07-02 -Biometrics done!!..thanked God!!

2011-17-03 -AOS Interview..APPROVED!!

2011-24-03 -GREENCARD received!!..it's green indeed!!..lol..
