OH YEAH BABY!!!

My EAD was approved this morning :D I was in the middle of being prodded and poked my my doctor when I got the text, lol...super excited!! Hopefully more approvals coming for everybody...

FWIW, my biometrics were on January 4th, so over a month ago...

CONGRATS!!!!! that is such amazing news :) (except the poking and prodding part by your doctor...!).

Been following this thread for a while now. I had my Biometrics in Detroit yesterday. I checked my case status on the USCIS website today to see if there's already a development (I know, I'm just too excited :P) on my case. It said that on February 7, my case has been transferred to CSC for processing.

Is it common for the case to be transferred before the Biometrics?

So far in this thread a lot of people are getting transferred to CSC, with varying opinions on why. I was transferred in Jan & didn't receive my bio letter till Feb 1 so it doesn't really make it any easier to understand.

As far as I have seen from info on here, a transfer is down to how backlogged the local office is. It can also mean a slightly longer wait but with a straight to approval without interview.

I think it shouldn't be 'Transferred' but changed to 'lap of the gods'

I-751 Application - Nov 26, 2012.
NOA - Nov 27, 2012.
Bio Appointment Dec 31, 2012.
New Appointment Jan 8, 2013.

I-751 Removal of Conditions - Approved May 28 2013

Green Card Production notice - June 13 2013

Green Card Received - June 20, 2013

Citizenship Application - January 17, 2023

Lets reopen Ellis Island..... DO it the good old fashioned way. Come in on the Titanic and if you make it to the US, meet a nice official who tells you your name (because they cant understand you, so they write something down) stamps you in and away you go. Proper alien registration lol.

Yes I am slighty off balance today. Have flash backs to a time I never knew.

Ah! the good old days.

Love it except for one thing. Not many people came in on the Titanic... LMAO. Ellis Island is possibly one of the coolest museums I've ever been to. Fascinating. My daughter was only 11 months when I went, so by the time we got to the section about life after immigrating, she was ready to go home but wow, having now started on my own US immigration journey, I really want to go again!

Timeline Summary:

K-1/K-2 NOA1 - POE: 9 February - 9 July 2010

Married: 17 July 2010

AOS mailed - Interview : 22 November 2010 - 10 March 2011

ROC mailed - approved: 14 February - 18 June 2013

Citizenship mailed - ceremony: 9 February - 7 June 2017

We just cant get anything past you, can we? Maybe I should have used one of its sister ships name instead. Mind you one sunk for a different reason as well. The other was dismanteled in about 1934, with bits being sold off. My recent ancestors in Belfast where not having much luck with ship building back in 1912.

Mine were all ship riveters and welders too, but up on Newcastle Upon Tyne :)

I loved Ellis Island when I went about 5 years ago. I want to go again now that it has that much more significance for me - you have to think that all the waiting we are put through is still preferable to being crammed onto a boat for 2 weeks!

Well here in the December boat we've only started receiving approvals this week, so you could be next. We had lots of lovely approvals the last few days, so keep your spirits up :)

I had a lovely Saturday morning surprise today - an email from USCIS!! AP approved too!! It's dated today as well, so someone must be working:

"Application Type: I131 , APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT

Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity

On February 12, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I131 APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

Does this mean my AP is already in the mail?? Unlike my EAD it went straight to Post-Decision Activity...

Can't wait to book a flight home :)

Ooooh. What does it look like?

Question for you. Did your AP case go straight from 'Initial Review' to 'Post-Decision Activity'? I ask because I'm trying to figure out if what they've sent me in the mail is just an approval notice or my actual AP. I'm hoping the latter!!

I have a reservation for a flight home with AA on hold for the next 24 hours...just want to be sure it's in the post to me cos the flight's on March 2nd :)
