thanks J&J! i'm just relieved that I'll get my EAD so that i can renew my driver's license (they gave me one that expires the same day as my I-94). oh, and it will be nice to work and feel useful. I'm really glad I went and did the walkin biometrics...I bet that's what sped everything up (my scheduled appointment was last week).

i'll bet this week there will be a lot more EAD's and AP's we'll be seeing here amongst the December AOS Filers. Good luck everyone.

By the way, it looks like most of us are transferred to CSC. Does anyone know what the average wait time from transfer until a decision is for recent K1s to AOS?

I've been reading on VJ, and it seems like it is a loooooooong time for some people!

i just went through the AOS timelines to answer my own question, using the following filters. visa adjusting from "K1" and only showing transferred cases (ie, no interview).

(I looked at the first 70 records only).

so it looks like once transfer takes place, the vast majority of people got approved within 1-2 months.

however, it looks like there was a period of time (june and july 2010 transfers that took usually 4-6 months to get approved). that doesn't apply for people who got transferred from about october/november 2010 onwards.

just thought i would share. teehee :) okay, off to do something productive with my day.

So I checked my Case Status and I got this message as my case status on USCIS...

On February 9, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS. Please follow any instructions on the notice.

So I am guessing my husband is approved? Does this mean that he doesn't need an EAD or AP or does he still need to wait for that? I mean by approval it means that he has green card and he doesn't need an EAD or AP because he can work with that green card and leave the country with the green card as well. Am i right?

If i am not then please clarify..

Wow Congrats on the big approval! You are correct when he has the gc in his hand he can travel and work. AP or ead is no longer needed

So I got another notification that my ead was in production ....again? I don't know what that means but I guess any touch on my cases must be good right

As I understand it the second touch probably means they have mailed your card :) yay!!

I reeeeeaaaallly need my EAD now...my car blew a tyre this evening and thanks to the stupid custom rims on it it needs specialist tyres, so I'm going to have to fork out a couple of hundred bucks for a replacement - plus the rest need replacing too. Need a job thank you please!!

FINALLY Receieved my Biometrics letter!!

Though it may not seem like much. I am excited, seeing as I received my NOA1 on 11/30/2010. There is a major backlog in Dallas.

With that being said, has anybody had success with a walk in bio at the dallas office?

Man this waiting is a killer!!!!

After people here completed their bio's (walk in or appointment, no matter), how long before anyone saw ANY movement/touches/info on their cases??

I asked the guy at the bio appointment how long things happen & he said that the bio stuff gets electronically filed at the time of taking but takes 24 - 72 hours to hit the system (I'm guessing to be placed correctly with your case).

If you look at the bio appointment form, when the person scans your barcodes, your name/case everything shows up on the screen, so how come it takes so long if its automated?????

Sorry, little frustrated & desperate to get working.

I-751 Application - Nov 26, 2012.
NOA - Nov 27, 2012.
Bio Appointment Dec 31, 2012.
New Appointment Jan 8, 2013.

I-751 Removal of Conditions - Approved May 28 2013

Green Card Production notice - June 13 2013

Green Card Received - June 20, 2013

Citizenship Application - January 17, 2023
