Finally completed bio with a walk in yesterday. Super easy, plus no one was in there. In & out in 10 min. Guy doing it also said that they seemed to be speeding up the processes as well so good news.

Thanks to everyone for the advice, makes this process a whole lot easier with kindred spirits out there.

Glad to hear it all went smooth for you!

Marvelous mate. Congrats! All there is to do is wait now...

I still haven't had a CSC transfer, so looks like it will be the interview route for us. Not that fussed, so long as I find out when my interview is soon ;)

I was still in bed sick and bored yesterday so I was fiddling with my phone...it now makes a foghorn noise if it gets a text from USCIS ;) Not sure if that's a good idea or not, lol!!!

Bored much?

Well you have plenty of time to catch up on Enders, Corrie etc now that they have Expat shiled working again.

Thank you, goodnight and may your gods go with you",

Oh sooooo very very bored.

Did get a small bit of good news today. I have a job interview! It's for insurance, which I don't really want to go into, but it's nearly 3 years since I've had an interview of any sort so even just the experience will be helpful, and you never know, I might change my mind. Told them I didn't have my work permit yet and they weren't even that fussed. But then all I've had since I put my CV on Monster and Careerbuilder is insurance stuff, so clearing demand is outstripping supply...

Good luck to everyone this month, fingers crossed meggy_mo has started the ball rolling for everyone.

Dam this waiting, everytime you get an update or do something towards it the waiting becomes unbearable, constant checking of a system that tells when something has changed automatically.

The folly of humans or the signs of madness??:bonk:

Woohoooooo. Its good news but it goes quiet from now on. It feels like last year now waiting for I129 approval lol.

And why isnt my EAD and AP accessible on line. Tells me that my recepit number doesnt exist. Has no one even looked at it.

I have phoned USCIS and they say call again in 30 days. Snif!

I just wanna work. Need money. Bills to pay.

Why does the NBC not put its receipt numbers on the USCIS system. Or is it only me they like to keep in the dark?

My receipt numbers are not showing either but i did call them to see what was happening. They told me it can take a while to show online. Guess we need to be more patient.

We first met online 2004, but things started to get serious in Dec 2007. Made my first visit to the USA in march 2008 for 2 weeks. Then returned again in Aug 2008 for 3 months.. Then i came back to the UK for 5 months to return back to the USA April 2009 for another 3months.

Yeah, it did occur to me that it was disappearing into the ether à la my I-129F, but hey. It's something :)

FWIW, there has been no update on my EAD or AP since 18th December, so they might as well not be on my portfolio anyway. They may show up when those cases get approved, or you may just get the cards in the mail one day. Unfortunately that system appears to have got considerably more rubbish - I seem to be one of the few lucky one's who is getting consistent text and email updates.

They do say it's in pilot, of course, which means there's no guarantee it'll work. Gah. I feel for you mate.
