Went to do a walk in today in the Tampa office, turns out my wonderful girl has a friend who knows someone in the office there who came up with some good advice plus inside information on the office.

Turns out if they are completely booked, they will turn you away & make you keep to your interview date as well. Also that the office is least busiest mid afternoon on a Friday so that's when I'll be trying my walk in.

Good luck to all.

wow, there are a lot of offices closed today!

anyone had any touches on their EAD/AP? my last touch on those was several days before christmas :(

i need to renew my driver's license next month, and really hoping my EAD comes through so that this is possible. and although the time off work has been nice, it would be nice to get back to work and feel useful!!

Althougth we are used to near instant delivery of text messages on our phones, the network providers do not guarantee it. SOme say up to 24 hours for a text message message to be delivered. Really depends on network and cell site saturation.

hey everyone: i just read through my CSC transfer notice (the hardcopy) in detail (i guess i should have done it when i received it i the mail awhile ago), but was just wondering if anyone knew anything about what this "premium processing" that they indicate at the bottom of the notice? does it apply to K1's that have applied for AOS?

thanks!

just did a VJ search. looks like it does not apply to family sponsored visas, just for employer based ones. so doesn't apply to us. please let me know if anyone finds anything different! i'd pay double the $1000 fee if i could get this done with in 15 days!

Except the notification was dated Feb 1st and this was 5.30am mountain time on Feb 1st *shrugs* who knows. They do have Adjudicators who work from home though...

To all of you lovely people who have completed a walk in for your bio appointment (specifically in the Tampa area)

I am being told that you can't even get access to the ASC office without a valid reason before your scheduled appointment date to do the biometrics. 7 then I see that people have done walk-ins at their offices so i'm looking for a bit of guidance & help.

What do you say to the security guard that means you will be let in to do the bio earlier than your appointment? How strict are they on letting you in or not?

The reason I ask is my girl has a work colleague who has a friend working in the ASC office here in Tampa & she is saying if you don't have a good reason you won't get in, to come on a Friday afternoon as it is the least busiest time etc.

Little help or guidance will be much appreciated thanks.

I did mine in Orlando. I told them I was going to be out of town on the day of my appointment. They didn't question it, I'm not even sure they were listening to be honest!

Attempting a walk-in isnt going to do you any harm. I guess it just depends how far away the office is from you as to whether it's worth it. I would suggest going as early as possible though to give yourself a chance of getting in :)

At the Fort Myers ASC office I was the first one in the line. Got there 15 min. before they opened. I simply asked the guard if they accept walk-ins and there was no problem. I guess if you walk-in when they are very busy, it's understandable they will tell you to come back on your appointment date.
