I had my biometrics in Indianapolis on Jan 20. Went fast..bout 10 mins. Just needed passport appt letter and receipt numbers. Though I took everything else just in case. They didn't require anything for proof of name change. My app for GC was transferred to California today as well.

I love montreal. I went there for my k1 visa interview. Great to visit.

hahahahhahha, glad you have the priorities sorted for the tax money!!!

You need bio for EAD tho right? I just hope it comes soon, so I can hopefully get a walk in & get it out of the way.

Hey what can I say I expect big things for my big day lol.

Yup you do need the bio for the EAD. Did you find out if you could do a walk-in at your office??

Congrats to everyone who got transferred - so exciting!!

Still no word about my RFE, realllllllly annoying. But from all accounts the status updates on the websites are completely unreliable, so maybe they're doing something and I just don't know about it :)

That is very true!

When it came to my k-1 petition I didn't have any touches and one day in the mail I got my NOA2.

So it doesn't mean jack! I know it does add on a bit of waiting time for the RFE but hopefully they just got back at it and you get an interview soon or a transfer!

Haven't been able to find a number to call them, keeps putting me towards infopass to make an appointment. Made one for first day I could get which is Feb 2 so I will go in & ask them that day even if no bio letter.

Nothing in today's mail either, so maybe they will send all out today with my case transfer note?? Who knows with this process, just a wait & see game.

Woot woot, USCIS emailed and they have resumed processing of my case :) Finally!!! Maybe fun things will start happening now...

I also had a phone call this morning with a VP of the American division of the company I worked for back in the UK about a marketing job working for him in New York...very scary, as would mean a big move from Orlando, but the best job lead I have by miles. The fact that they're even talking to me is progress (although I haven't told them about the lack of work authorisation.....) Progress is being made!!

Congrats on all of the above, things are moving nicely.

I wonder what they mean by 'resumed processing'? Did they decide to have a break on it?

Good luck with the job lead, always a tricky topic to bring up about the work permit situation. I've been telling everyone who has posted a job, makes life harder for them when you can't give them a start date.

Well I had an RFE, so they had suspended processing it until they received the RFE back. It's just them acknowledging that they'd received my RFE return, that's all.

I tried to tell this guy back in October about the work permit but couldn't get a word in edgeways! But knowing how this company works nothing happens very fast, so with any luck if they do offer me a job my work authorisation will have arrived by the time that happens!

Oh yay! I am glad they have started it back up!

Wow that is amazing. NY the most exciting place on earth! I hope you get your EAD soon so you can take it! NY is such an awesome place. I just recently was able to visit there. I have always wanted to see it and it was way above and beyond my expectations.I love that we are only a 6 hour drive from NY I can't wait to go back.

OK on the 18th my case was sent to the CSC.

Now I have a new update on the 24th.

This:

The I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283

Also their email notification appears to be broken when it comes to my case.

Thank you, goodnight and may your gods go with you",

Dave Allen.

That just means that it's arrived in California :) congrats! Hopefully things happen quickly for you now. Wouldn't mind getting one of those transfer notices myself ;)

I hope you do as well.

I wonder do they check applications if the require RFE before they are transfered, then, as in my case are sent to the CSC to be adjudicated on?

It's amazing how much things vary from state to state. Thinking about it, FL may accept my EAD. I know we're going to try anyway.

I can drive with my UK license but really I'd only be able to drive a rental car. My hubby and I's insurance will not accept a foreign license and even if they did it makes insurance very expensive. So my car may be sitting on the driveway for a while!

Just some little information to you, I have been asking around insurance companies about getting a car insured & apparently there are a few insurers who will insure foreign licenses. I have bought a car & got a quote for insuring it, it maybe a little expensive but hey I need to get around for the time being. This will help me out till I get my greencard & then I will get a FL drivers license. Perhaps your hubby can put you on as a named driver on his insurance & it can be done. Geico & Progressive do this. Hope this info helps you.

We first met online 2004, but things started to get serious in Dec 2007. Made my first visit to the USA in march 2008 for 2 weeks. Then returned again in Aug 2008 for 3 months.. Then i came back to the UK for 5 months to return back to the USA April 2009 for another 3months.
