count me in i resubmit mine yesterday,actualy i sent it last month but they rejected my aos packagr bcoz my forms are not updated so yesterday i resubmit my AOS package

Assuming I am in the right forum, I am jumping in!

We sent our AOS file last Monday and per delivery confirmation from USPS it was delivered on the 9th @ 0930.

Now the waiting game begins, and it is going be great to have some buddies to compare timeline with

Sent my AOS packet on Friday 10th, waiting for it to arrive.

Sadly found out today that A: we sent the wrong filing fee & B: forgot to put a letter for the AP application.

Not holding out much hope for a good opening with it.

If the fee is incorrect, they'll just return the entire package. It'll add a small delay but as soon as it comes back, you can just resend it with a new fee and get to add the letter in.

I'm lurking on both this and the November filers, because I mailed ours in November but NOA1 date is December 8th.

Glad to be on board here. AOS was sent back on the 1st, USCIS received it on the 2nd. Waiting for the NOA. Best wishes to everyone!

Yes..they will just return it and you will just have to correct it..a little delay is worth it as long as you will be able to submit it again properly..the whole process needs patience..

by the way guys..we got a wonderful gift for my Bday today...just received a text message & email from USCIS that they received our AOS application already...got our receipt #..and will be waiting 7-10 days for the mail....hehe...Thank you Lord for the blessings..let's update and help each other here ...God bless us all in our journey..

Just a heads up to everyone. We received an RFE for our application. Apparently the filing fee was recently changed from $930 to $985 and the biometrics fee from $80 to $85. What's surprising is that the previous I-485 instructions were marked to expire on 12/31/2010 and the new one (with the updated fees) still expires on the same date this year.

We first thought about calling to argue about the fee change, but just thought that paying the extra $60 is probably a lot less of a hassle and would allow the AOS process to smoothly continue. At least we're thankful that the RFE wasn't because of some missing documents or something more sinister.

Would be totally pointless and futile. They advertised the increases several months ago and it's been widely discussed on the boards. The only applications that qualified for the old fees had to be postmarked November 22nd.

The rule of thumb is always always check on the USCIS website for the latest everything. The fee schedule made a note at the top that it was going up from November 23rd. It was easy to miss, if you're prone to skim reading but I've learnt the frustrating way, that you can't skim anything with this process. lol

We sent our package December 2, 2010 and it was received in Chicago December 4. Haven't heard anything yet.

Well its been a while (exactly 4 months to the day we married) but finally posted my AOS yesterday.

Hopefully the weather coming in wont delay the mail.

Now the waiting starts again after the K1. At least its not apart.

Another scary period of our life starts.

Ha ha ha. I thought I had read through everything in detail, but oh well. Things were so busy and hectic after the wedding with myriads of paperwork, etc. that that portion slipped through the cracks. At least the documents with the right fee is on it's way again.

Hi All,

Looks like i'll be falling under the December filers.

I recently filed for AOS/AP/EAD on the 6th, they received it the 7th.

Got my first NOA1 on the 13th and finally got the hardcopy in the mail on the 16th!

Now the wait begins!!!
