Hi everyone.

Is it possible the co sponsor to sponsoring a family and at the same time to sponsoring a person from his own family?

I dont know if i was clear but the situation is that, we need a co sponsor but the person was sponsoring family member and now we r wonder if that person can be our sponsor as well?

Yes, if the person makes enough money, they can sponsor as many immigrants as they like.

They will need to make 125% of the poverty guideline for their household, including anyone they are sponsoring (as per here: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864p.pdf).

So, for example if the co-sponsor is single, they are already sponsoring one person from their family to immigrate, and will now sponsor your spouse, then their household is 1+1+1= 3, and thus they'd need to make an absolute minimum of 22'887.

Or, if the co-sponsor is has a wife and two kids, they are already sponsoring two people from their family to immigrate, and will now sponsor your spouse, then their household is 4+2+1= 7, and thus they'd need to make an absolute minimum of 41'587.
