Ok my 5 months will be up 12/12/2010 and still N0A2. So you know i'm hella mad. So what happen now? I called the customer service # on 12/06/2010, they are no help at all. They just say you have to wait til your 5months is up then to call them back. I was wondering any VJ member know what they gonna do when i call them back on Monday after my 5 months is up. Tell me, i have to wait longer?

I went to my senator office on 12/09/2010 for help. they seem to very friendly and willing to help, but i havent heard anything from them yet either. I figure they probaby need a little more time with it. But i'm gonna give them a call too monday to see what up.

This waiting stuff is really B.S., I believe we waited long enough, if they cant keep there deadlines they should atleast tell us something. Give us some kind of information.

Sorry peeps, You know i'm hella mad. Just wanted to vent.

We called back on the 8th and were told to call back in 30 days.. yeah right!! Its a joke.. you'll no doubt get told from others on here to be patient etc but Im with you.. after 5 months patience is no longer an option!

You are right. Patience is no longer an option. Action is the option.

It is true that they won't do anything if you are even one day short of the five months. But on the exact day that their five months is up, call them. Ask to speak to an immigration officer. Don't settle for a mere clerk who will read from some bureaucratic BS sheet and then hang up on you. Call your Congress Member and both Senators. Tell them that you expect action, as you are a United States citizen with rights and expect those rights to be respected.

Stand up for what you are entitled to because that is the only way you will get it.

You waited 5 months. What happens now? You wait some more. There is no guarantee that a petition will be adjudicated in 5 months. You can contact your congressman and they can contact USCIS and make an inquiry. There is no one worthwhile you can call at USCIS.

Your congressman will be told that you should wait 30 days and call back, that they are experienceing heavier than normal business, yada, yada. Within 30 days more, you may be approved and go away. If not, you will call again. A congressional inquiry may or may not get your case moving. Congress has no direct control over USCIS and cannot MAKE them do anything

But it cannot possibly hurt to get your Congress Member involved. It can only help.

And it enough of us do it, somebody at BCIS will get the message that jerking us around ad infinitum is unacceptable and that we are not the pieces of garbage they think we are.

I agree 100% with you. This is exactly why I decided to complain to my Congressman and the USCIS over and over until I got what I wanted. I will admit that I was pre-mature and very excessive with my inquiries. If I had not done what I did, the USCIS Adjudicator I spoke with said that I could have waited until Halloween this year to get my NOA2! I started to hear the rumors about the USCIS being flooded with those TPS applications and I refused to be thrown to the back of the pack for that.

WE are the US Citizens. WE are the taxpayers. WE have the rights. TPS applicants pay $50 for a 3 month wait. I-129F applicants pay $455 for a 5 month wait. The USCIS expects us to pay 4x as much.....and wait longer for service?? Who are they kidding?

My advise for Other people: Wait until the exact day that you hit your 5 month mark. Once you hit it, go full force and hold them accountable to that so called 5 month mark that they publish on their website.

The majority of us are feeling your pain. Yes, we are mad! And there is nothing we can do about it to speed up the process!

You can get another job (I recently got my 5th job) in order to further busy yourself and save some money. As expensive as this process is, you are going to need the extra cash!

Best wishes!

When you call back they will say you have to wait 6 monhts. That is the standard response. It is incredibly frustrating, but all we can do is call and call and call again. The 5 months timeframe is their average goal, not a deadline. Sometimes they are faster, sometimes slower. As hard as it is to hear, just continue to be patient. Call them every week, but be prepared for a non answer and when this happens, maintain your cool. The last thing you want to do is give them a reason to loose your case.

I think something weired happened at VCS recently and have not seen any approvals for a quite some time. My 5 month will be up on 12/29 and already spoke to senators office for inquiry. I will be submitting them information on exactly 12/30. Good luck to us!
