When my husband got his police certificate in Santiago, they gave it to him with the copy of his cédula and the BanReservas receipt stapled to the back. Do I have to leave those attached?

(I don't really want to leave them because he hasn't changed his marital status on his cédula yet...it still says 'soltero.' Does this even matter?)

It doesn't seem to be a big deal. They probably will not need the receipt. As long as his record is clean, meaning no criminal past, he should be fine.

K1 Visa Process -> 12/09-06/10 Married -> 09/10/10 AOS Process -> 09/10-12/10 Removal of Conditions-> 09/12-07/13

if what they gave you (the cedula and bank receipt) are copies just send it as they gave you. It's not a big deal and your mind will be eased knowing you sent "everything they gave." Good luck.

I think I am going to send it in as is. I'm not going to worry too much about the cedula saying he's single; he has requested his new cedula, but they won't get it to him until February 2nd (and I thought the DMV was bad)! But at this point (NVC), we're not proving the validity of our relationship, right? So they shouldn't care!

Ha ha, you're absolutely right. I just have way too much time on my hands to pick at these little details! I'm just going to leave everything on there, as is, and not worry either way.
