Hachemi was so anxious about going through immigration. It was his worst fear. He was amazed cause it only took him about 10 minutes to get through. I think he was in shock when he called me. He said, "It was so easy!" "They did not ask me anything." Then about an hour later he called back and said, "I am hungry" but I do not know what to ask for." I said what do you think you can eat. He said "That is why I called you." I told him do you see a McDonalds. Yes, he says. Do you want a Hamburger? Yes. I said go to the counter say, give me a Hamburger, fries and a coke. He says I want juice. I said, Ok ask for Juice. How much will it cost me. I said probably 5 or 6 dollars. So he hung up. He called me back about 45 minutes later and he had ordered a big mac, but did not like the sauce. Poor guy, gets to the USA and first meal was McDonalds. :P

When my husband first came to America also landed at JFK and went to the McD's. When he ordered a coke they asked him"doyouwannastrawwiddat?" He had absolutley no idea what the person said and said "no, I want a coke." The guy gave him a straw anyway.

I hope his flight to you is a good short flight. I know you two can't wait to see each other! Congrats and have a good day!
