After you receive your NOA2, and the application is sent abroad, what do they send in the next packet (which I am assuming is Packet 3)? And who do they send it to---the petitioner or the beneficiary? Thanks!

For the contents, you can check here: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/inde...p;cty=Kingstone

Some consulates/embassies mail packet 3 to both the petitioner and the beneficiary. Some only mail it to the beneficiary.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

they will send packet 3 to the beneficiary and you can see what's in it by going up top to Embassy Info, finding your Embassy (Jamaica) and scroll down to packet 3.... Good luck!

Unless you have a lawyer-----my packet 3 went there first :( Then I lost 1 month basically till I sent the check list back. What ev- I wish I knew about you all before I filed, saved the money from the lawyer....oh well.

meliss:

please know that this has happened to many people before you, including me, so don't let this upset you.

my attorney is so useless and gives wrong advice and packet3 was sent to her as well. I guess we just learned our lesson and will do the AOS later without a lawyer. greetings....!

Thank you VisaJourney

Part of packet 3 includes I-134 which is completed by the USC. If you want to be prepared, you can download I-134 and complete it ahead of time and send it to the beneficiary with the documents it asks for. This doesn't have to be presented until the interview, but it can take a while to gather the documents.

I also wrote, and had a notarized, an updated letter of intent.

Something else to gather ahead of time would be the police certificates for the beneficiary.

Best wishes,

Jen

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.
