I am going to be getting married in 18 days to my fiance while I'm on a tourist visa (I'm from Canada). Anyways, my fiance doesn't make enough money so his mother is co-sponsoring. Does he have to fill out an I-864 and then she has to fill out another I-864 form herself? Does he not have to submit the I-864? Do they just submit it in together on only one I-864 form? Sorry, just wanting to do this right the first time! They don't live together, though he hasn't changed his passport, drivers license or anything to his current address (as he's only staying here for one year while in school). Should we change his address, or should we just claim he lives with his mother still? Thanks!!

Canadians dont get tourist visas.

The sponsor has to file an I-864 regardless.

are you talking about entering, marrying and adjusting status?

Yes. I entered the US to visit my boyfriend in August, and we decided to get married just about a week ago. I honestly had no idea that this was going down, haha. I know Canadians don't get tourist visa, it's more of a waiver we get or something. So, my fiance has to file a I864, but does his mother file one separately, or...?
