Married name vs. Maiden name

Hi everyone! I got my case number and IIN earlier today and my husband paid the AOS fee online. We noticed that the receipt used my Maiden name. All the forms I submitted to the USCIS were in my married name. Will it cause any problem? My passport has my maiden name, do I need to change it? Will it cause any problems during the NVC, interview and port of entry if I will use my passport with my maiden name? I would appreciate your knowledge and suggestions. Thanks a lot! :)

If you have chosen to change your name, then your IDs (including your passport) need to match your new name. So, you should go about changing your passport, identification, driver's license, social security card, health and car insurance cards, etc. Really, quite a hassle to undergo (considering that about half of marriages end in divorce, anyway), but if you want to do it, then you should change your documents to match your married name.

Best wishes!

Thanks very much for the respond. I just talked to an NVC operator and he said that the Receipt name with my maiden name is not an issue since my passport is also in the maiden name. As for the follow-up processing in the Embassy and visa, they will go with what's the name used in my passport.
