Reasons for Denial?

Hey Knowledgeable Visa Peoples!

I was just wondering if you could give me some insight into reasons that you may be denied the visa at the interview stage. I don't expect my fiance to be denied, but I'm just curious what reasons have been stated for other people's denials.

Seems to me just a lack of evidence of the bona fides of your marriage....although im not really sure why they wouldnt just deny you at the I-130 stage!

Other big ones seem to be problems that arise from the medical (although these can normally be rectified), and previous overstays (again, can be overcome with a waiver!)

By reading members' accounts, reasons for denials include not providing the same answers (therefore failing to prove that there is a bona fide relationship), not being able to legally married (divorce not yet finalized before sending petition), insufficient income, misrepresenting or omitting information willingly, etc. For the most part, it seems as though denials are most common in "difficult" consulates and it seems as though the most common reason for denial is not knowing the "right" answers.
