You prepay it has been changed.

This is such a great idea--delayed our visa by 3 weeks because no one asked David to pay for the visa...which I felt was obvious and he should have asked someone  but I still love him anyway.

Is it true they won't schedule an interview until you have paid though?

I have been trying to reschedule my interview date but have been waiting 16 days for an e mail reply.

If I ring up and pay will this speed things up? What is the latest fee?

Yeah the only reason I even knew was because someone I speak to on here happened to message me about it. We haven't paid yet because we're held up on medical results at the moment. As soon as it's cleared up we'll pay up and be on our way. They will not schedule the interview without the medical results AND the paid fee. I believe it's $350.

Hi guys,

Just to confuse matters - I have been scheduled for my Visa Interview on the 26th Jan and haven't paid my fee yet - It doesn't mention it in the letter that I have to pre pay so I would be interested to see where this instruction is?

It's a bit buried on the site and hard to find, but here is the link to the page that says the fee needs to be paid beforehand. You can just call the phone number and take care of it, the operated-assisted line/extortion line.

Is this the number that costs a flat rate of $16 for up to 7 minutes?

also, how do you get the receipt? I can't find anything about this and I'm curious. If I (as the USC) pay over the phone, how does the receipt get worked out?

Yes, it's the expensive number. It's ridiculous, but that's the requirement.

Once you pay you are instantly emailed a receipt that you must sign and present at the interview.

i have just received my interview letter for 11 feb. from reading above i assume i now have to pay the K1 visa fee in advance - even though my interview letter directed me to form iv-19 which still says you pay on the day! other parts of the embassy website though have been updated and say pay by the operator assisted phoneline. anyhow... if anyone can help i'm just wanting to check that they definitely send you the MRV fee receipt by email? thanks!
