Hey all,

I have friend that just came early to US and he wish to know if he can apply for Asylee? Does he should wait for some time or he can apply any time?

don't allow him to do that.

if they find the petition to be frivolous, he could be deported.

does he have real proof of political persecution. are the newspapers, videos, pictures? what physical proof does he have

that his life was in danger, to the point that they could kill him in his country if he goes back?

why type of persecution would he be seeking? and what would be the physical proof?

not enough. does he have proof that is was due to persecution? does he know who did it and has proof? did he receive any letters that threatend him and his family due to religious or political persecution? does he belong to an oposing political party or religion and was targeted? doe he have proof of that?

was there any torture involved? was he in any way beaten or tortured for his beliefs or his political views against the political government in charge?

does he have proof?

yes there is war in his country, but unless he can proove that his life was in danger due to persecution, not because the country is dangerous, but someone wanted to kill him or hurt him, it is not enough to be granted assylum.

Makes you wonder how anybody from Iraq could get a Visitor visa.
