HI EVERYONE

MY FIANCES DAD IS CO SPONSORING ME AND HAS JOINT TAX RETURNS AS HE IS MARRIED, DOES MY FINACES MUM HAVE TO DO A FORM AS WELL?

ALSO IS 1040 TAX RETURN AS GOOD AS THE TAX TRANSCRIPT? WHICH ONE DO WE NEED?

Please don't shout in ALL CAPS.

If Dad's individual income is sufficient, then only he needs to complete and sign the affidavit but for joint tax filers, a transcript won't work. He'll need a complete tax return with W2 forms etc. so it is clear which portion of the joint income is his and his alone. He should state HIS income, not the joint income of mom and dad.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
