Actually I am behind 2 years and 1 month, but do you think is there any chance that Feb bulletin will bring us a late Christmas gift ?

I dont think so. According to AILA( American Immigration Law Association)/DOS practice alert, it wont be possible for couple of years.

Also lots of Lawyers thinking that, DOS needs money, so they forwarded all FB category to collect money from petition as an advance. Even it is very little chance to get approval when you you have LPR status. According to their personal experience, LPR cases is facing most administrative processing than USC cases. I would rather have my case interview when i have citizen in hand than not get Administrative processing. In my country, whoever have administrative processing will take 9-12 months to get approved/denied.

My pending Naturalization would be October, 2011. plus additional 3 months for process. My priority date and Naturalization would be the same time frame. I felt bad for my wife who was expecting much to be here in the USA before april 13th(My birth day ).:crying:

Thank goodness that it takes only 3 months in your state to process the naturalization. For me it took whole 6 months from application sending to Oath ceremony.

I also feel very bad for all of you guys who waited years for your priority date to become current and had to face this friggin retrogression after almost being done with NVC. So frustrating. I can understand how you guys feel :( coz I am in the same situation.

I know this is out of our topic, but i really need the info now. I heard some of my friends said i should apply for Naturalization 4-6 months before the 5 years date come, is it corrected? If i go oversea each summer and stay for 3 months, is it going to affect the date?

Thank you guys and Happy New year.

Thats a pessimistic View that it takes about 2-3 years.

I think based on the normal movement NVC does; again to reach to Jan 2010, it can be 1 year time frame.

[NVC is an independent body from USCIS]; NVC started moving the dates forward and realized that there are lot of applications that pumped in from USCIS. that's the reason, NVC moved the PD back to Jan 2008. I think good news is NVC has more clear picture now of how many applications they have pending. This will allow them to move in appropriate manner going forward. [my PD is June 2009; I am expecting this to be reached by May 2010].

The only thing I am worrying about NVC still processing Aug/September 2010 I-130 approval. Which is brings more stand by for PD backlogged and also how many cases still not adjudicated is unknown by USCIS data clogged. In that sense, your PD will not established until October 2011 :bonk:

I might be too optimistic; but this is my theory [NVC completed many DS-230 cases well beyond Jan 2010].

Imagine number of users calling NVC with such a forward movement [checking on interview dates] & also only very few applications can be sent to embassies for interviews each month [even though cases were complete way ahead].

For above reasons, NVC moved dates back to Jan 2008; I beleive NVC would move the dates fast as soon as interviews are complete in coming months.

When I called NVC [my PD: June 2009....PD is established based on when I-130 is filed]; Rep told that Jan is already filled up in embassies and I have to wait little later. [i came up with this theory based on what I talked with Rep.

2011 will be good year; dont worry. [be optimistic and give me some hope].

My PD is Mar/2008, I knew that I will be on either February or March Visa list. According Bangldesh embassy experience, people had current PD and interview taken, technically consular sent off for AP and waited for 6-12 months. I dont know how other countries does, but also philipines also same way treated.

F2A SOULD BE CURRENT IF DOS/NVC HAS REAL/OPTIMISTIC DATA ACCURACY.
