Hey sis, were you able to call Embassy?

Can anybody help...we're still in the process and its not completed yet. will we be affected by this retrogression??

your case just got to the NVC..? If yes then you maybe one of those who will be affected as your case could not have been current because of the comming change and processing of your case could be delayed.

So, someone with a PD later than Jan 08 in F2A will obviously be "not current" on Jan 1, 2011. What happens if such a person is scheduled for interview after Jan 1, 2011?

uhmm, how will that be since the current priority date of which is jan2008, i think he will not be given visa? coz it isn't current yet...

NVC collected all that money from Visa Petitioners since Govt is out of money and need to bail out their buddies. When they found out they have almost fooled every petitioners let's go backward.

Oh boy. This happened before in 2008 when my family member was migrating and the regression lasted for about three months then they became current again. This will not affect those with interview date but will affect those of us waiting on NVC to send off our document to our country's consulant.

i can only hope that this will be changed by FEB 2011 bulletin posting

Does not affect me now but i hope this all will clear up by the time my case gets to the NVC all all who is there now would have been processed out.

I am a F2A. My priority date is June 2,2009. But I went through the nvc thing and paid all the required fees. and case was completed on the 10th of November 2010.Just waiting on an Interview date.

If nvc/dos requested a visa allotment for your case people to the change then you may not be affected however if this was not done then tou still have to wait until the case becomes current again.

We have to keeep in mind that even though there is a national change there maybe an offline team who welll work on basses that were already completed.... Otherwise there would be no scheduling/interviews going on at the local embassies.
