Hi,

Hubby went to the local police station in Surat to get the police certificate, he took with him the Ds230 cover sheet and the p3u agent universal letter that was emailed by the NVC stating: Pay particular attention to the requirements for police certificates. In some cases specific forms must be

used to request and obtain required police certificate(s). I thought that this would be sufficient to get the certificate but he was denied. What can he take with him to get this done because this one paper is causing a delay in sending our Ds230 and per NVC operator this letter needs to be included in the packet. Please Help :)

Is it local or Passport Office PCC?

If passport Office PCC he has to take the approval letter as well along with documents specified. Please use below websites as your resource.

You must fill out Form No. 2 as well as Personal Particulars Form (PP Form) along w/ required documents. I think the required documents are NOA2, Passport, Proof of Residence and ID Card.

It took 21-25 days for my husband to get Passport PCC and I did not send it to NVC. I spoke to an operator and was told to provide it at the interview.

No we're not trying to get the PCC one since I thought you can only get that after you receive your interview appointment letter. Trying to get the local police one...I called the NVC operator today and she told me to send the Ds230 without it and then they will send me a RFE with a checklist and I can obtain it through that, but hubby told me he went there today again to the local police station and they seem to be giving into it and said to come back tom morning so hopefully they give it to him...have my fingers crossed..

thanks for the websites...they will be helpful when we have to get the PCC :)
