Hi,

My husband recently received his conditional green card in June or July of this year....he was granted a scholarship to do his master program in another country (london) He spent one month in the US and left for london to do his master program but in the process,he'll come to the US during his school breaks. Will this cause a problem for him? His program will be over by next september or november of 2011 and after which, he will be in the US permanently. His green card expires in 2012.

And also, what are some of the evidence that we need for the renewer of his conditional green card? Right now, we both have joint accounts together, names on lease and bills. My husband is not currently working so, would this be a problem for us when it comes to showing tax documents? I am working fulltime and attending school fulltime...i filed taxes every year. I am also thinking about including my husband name on my 401K account but i have not change my filing status to married. should I change my filing status to married right now? or I should leave it to single until he comes for good next Sept? Please help!

with the permanent resident he can traval out of the us , but can not stay over one year outside of the us, ..next i would file your income taxes joint for this year 2010 before the end of the year so you get more of a refund, and it's good evidence start saveing all your paper do things togather many pictures togather, you have to prove to the adjudicater that you are happy married you do every thing togather jointy, there is a good guide on this page you should do some reading good luck,
