I just noticed Robert De Bonda's Signature on a post with his timeline. We filed the same time (Well I actually filed about a week before them) He received his NOA2 in 3 months! And already has an interview scheduled!

Mine has not been touched, and I haven't heard one word since we filed on July 8 2010... What gives???

The system is horribly broken and manifestly unfair.

Check out this thread, which explains much of it: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/285856-losing-faith/page__st__90

Different adjudacators take different times to process their box, in any box some people have a cleaner back ground and are a quicker file than others. In the grand scheme of things everyone gets processed as quickly and as much in order as possible. Relax, soon it will be history.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

We all waited just like you, some less then others. The petitions dont get approved in order they come in.

If you are so frustrated and stressed out over this process why did you even bother to file ? I say, learn to have patience like the rest of us.

Your turn will come, sooner then later.

hi, my case is the same. we filed july 8 and received our NO1 july 13th. so far the last time they looked at it was oct21, after that, it seemed to be abandoned to nowhere. its just so sad that were apart for the holidays while our hopes were so high of supposedly being together by then. only becoz some people dont care :crying:

Oasis? Why so hostile? I DO have patience. I am very patient. We both are. But when we see someone elses petition get processed in 1/2 the time, we start to wonder. We have been extremely patient. Just very anxious!

Why did we file? Hmmmm. Maybe because we are madly in love, and want to be together forever... And this is the only way. And if for some reason, our visa gets denied, Then I decided I am moving to Ukraine. We must be together, there is no other way.

P.S. Sorry to read about your split.

When we filed our I-129F, most couples going through CSC took about 5 or 6 months to get NOA2 approval. The first few petitions that were filed the same month as ours were approved after a bit less than 4 months, ours was approved a bit less than 5 months, and a few couples waited nearly 7 months. VSC tended to be faster than CSC. Once you get to the consulate stage, it largely depends on your consulate, both how fast they are and what their procedures are.

I am not hostile at all. I was in your same shoes and it got me very very frustrated to see other petitions approved before mine. Try not to compare your timelines with others since each case is different.

It looks like you are at the 5 month mark too, I personally would give it a few more days longer and call.

Fingers crossed that the NOA2 is on the way.

magically it showed up in my mailbox

This is all you can wait for. There's no pushing the process; it is what it is. Use Skype a lot until you get the approval.

Move on over to the RUB regional forum for more specific info.

It is an unfair system, but unfortunately its the only thing we can do to be with our loved ones in the US!

Have you just passed the 5 months mark on Dec 8th, 1American1?

Are you currently in any sort of contact with your congressman or senator? Apparently this really does help (although, again, not in all cases!)

I know that there is a lot of discussion on how best to contact your congressman so do a search, if you havent already!

Other than that, ill be hoping for a speedy approval for you! Its hard when someone gets approved quicker than you within the 5months, but I imagine once it gets past that date it only makes it all the worse.

Fingers crossed for you, and keep us updated!
