Hi all,

I am on a conditional greencard, through marriage based immigration (entered on K1).

My conditional greencard expires in october 2011.

I am changing/updating my address on the USCIS.gov website.

I did the online form, but then it says IF YOU CASE IS STILL PENDING you would be required to update additionally using a different form.

My question:

As I am on a conditional greencard, not lifting the conditions until October 2011, am I pending????

thanks?

No. None of your paperwork is current in the works. You are a permanent resident.

Here is the online change of address tool. https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=coa.Terms It's changed since I looked at it last. You're supposed to send the paper form if you don't have a pending case, and do the online tool if you DO have a pending case. This is the section in the new website that kinda looks the same as the old one that I'm talking about: "...if you choose not to use this online tool and instead choose to mail in a paper Form AR-11 please understand that doing so will not update your address on any applications or petitions pending with USCIS.".

Anyway, because you're not pending, you'll be fine just doing this online. If you were pending you should do both just to be safe.

thay are talking about the form 1-865 notification of change address sponser notice, needs to be mailed to your service center,

No they're not. That's for the USC and co-sponsors.

OP they are right that you should remember that the co-sponsor and sponsor need to complete the I-865 to change their address for the Affidavit of Support if they move.

should've moved this earlier

** moved from "Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from Family Based Visas" to General Immigration Related Discussion as this isn't a question about the AOS process specifically, more a general Immigration "question"/need for definition**
