Be advised, it appears to me that the scheduling system is set up to NOT take payment dates of the same day as you paid, so you probably will not be able to schedule online until the day after payment. (I know it says 4 hours after payment, but I was getting payment date errors for at least a day after)

If after the second day you still can not schedule online, call the Call Center at (632) 982-5555, to schedule over the phone.

If any of the above information is not correct, Please message me right away. I want to know your experience.

There are already reports in the Philippines forum where people are scheduling an interview appointment the same day as they make their visa payment at BPI.

I believe most of the scheduling problems are caused by petitioners and beneficiaries who are trying to schedule their appointment before the Embassy has entered their physical K-1 petition into the Embassy's computer system. When a petition leaves the NVC, it can take anywhere from a week to three weeks for the Embassy to enter it into their system. Sometimes you just gotta wait.

Is this the packet 3 or we will receive another letter before we can schedule our interview and medical?

Can we pay our interview fee and schedule our interview now? Can I go to medical now? Is this the packet 3?

...Is this the letter to show in paying the interview, do we have to wait for another letter..is this the packet? is there a next mail to come..thank you!

Congratz on receiving your NOA2...and a big congratz for receiving your letter from the U.S. Embassy Manila authorizing you to schedule a visa interview! :star:

The letter you received from the U.S. Embassy Manila authorizing you to schedule a visa interview is your packet 3. So, don't wait for anything else from the Embassy, because it's time for you to pay your visa fee at BPI, and then schedule your interview. You will schedule your interview either by calling the Embassy's call center, or scheduling on their new online system.

When you go to BPI to pay the visa fee, you will need to bring along your passport and a copy of the biographical page of your passport. I'm not sure if you need to take your NOA2 and your letter from the Embassy, but I would bring extra copies of those also...just in case.

You should complete your medical now. You can not schedule your medical because St. Lukes uses a walk-in basis only. You can go to St. Lukes on Monday through Friday. I recommend that you go in the late morning or around lunch time. That way, you will avoid falling in line in the early morning like most people do, but you will still finish the first day of your medical about the same time as the early birds. When you go to the medical, bring your passport, your NOA2, and your eligibility letter from the Embassy. Also, there is good information about the medical in a thread which is pinned at the top of the Philippines forum.

thank you very much tahoma...how about the ds 160? do we need to fill that up now? thank you in advance!

Walang anuman po. :)

You are a K-1er, so you do not use the DS-160. Instead, you need to fill up two copies of the DS-156, one copy of the DS-156K, and two copies of the DS-157.

Wow, finally found a number and extension for a person in immigration outside of the call center people.

How nice it was talking to an intelligent and articulate person that knows what is going on.

Did you talk directly to the Immigrant Unit of the U.S. Embassy Manila? Their phone number from the U.S. is: 011-63-2-301-2000 extension 5184 or 5185.

Indeed, they are very knowledgeable and helpful. I scheduled Chinook's interview through them instead of using the script-readers at the Embassy's call center.

By the way, the Immigrant Unit is where they do the K-1 visa interviews, and where your case worker is located too.

Hello...Just paid $350 in BPI...they just gave me a receipt no UID...where can I find or get the UID? Thank You!

Correct, that is right., you are OK

I am told the UID is generated when you schedule an interview appointment.

It is on the confirmation for your appointment letter you will receive when you schedule on line or in the mail.

PS: That receipt/Deposit slip is most important, don't lose it!

thank you very much! I'll go to St. Lukes for medical on Monday... I dont have interview date as of now. They told me to finish Medical first then if my medical is ok, that is the time I'll call the embassy for Interview date. Is that correct? Am I on the right track? Thank you so so much!

After talking to the call center 3 times since Friday I am going to make one last attempt to schedule an interview on Monday.

Beth is going for the Medical on Tuesday, if we have a scheduled interview or not.

I don't see where anyone on here knows exactly what is going on. I have been checking time lines and it seems that the few that were able to schedule online

had there petition at the Embassy months before this change in the scheduling system. So, I do not count that as being successful with the new system.

I am just watching others time lines right now. When people who have a "Consulate Received" date close to mine start to schedule appointments successfully, I will know I should be in there too.

My Consulate Received date is 12/08

Let me know if you see K1 Visa petitioners scheduling with CR dates around that time successfully scheduling interviews.

NVC told me Nov. 30th it was sent but today is the 13th and still nothing. I even paid the fee back on the 6th but still get the case number invalid.

Others with the same or later dates have made appointments so now I am really getting anxious.

Is your petition at USEM? It should have come with mine. NVC told me it was sent 11/30 also, but the letter said 12/01.

We are on track as far as I can see. I have noticed others getting appointments, but many had the petitions in Manila before us.

I am thinking the most current to arrive and get an appointment was November 15 or 17th, something like that. So I hope we are close.

Check out others time lines, are they K1'ers? These things all could make a difference.

How are you getting the recieved date? Are you calling the NVC for that info?

On Dec 3rd, I sent an email request for scheduling info.

IVManilaReplies@state.gov

it took 6 days for them to reply, hell by then I had forgotten I sent it.

that is when they told me they received my petition in manila on 12/08

Like I said, I forgot about the email, that is why I thought this was the authorization to schedule letter.

It had all the scheduling info on it, with payment instructions and arrived after several phone calls to the call center.

If you are tracking you can see where I revised my time line.
