Our I-129f was approved yesterday and our I-130 was approved 8/10/06. We are so excited :dance: . I am posting this because it always gave me so much hope to hear of others being approved.

Una pregunta...My wife is from Venezuela and I am a U.S. citizen. We were married and have been living in Costa Rica since last year. Gathering docs. (ie birth certificates, police records, etc.) can be time consuming and I am trying to have as much as possilble ready befor they ask for it. Does anbody know what type of docs. we may need to be gathering ahead of time. Also, I may be returning to the U.S. to start work again and I am trying to anticipate any docs that I may need with my wifes signature so that I can print those out have her sighn them and take them with me. Thank ya'll for all your help. This web site has been so much more helpful than my attorney.

God Bless,

Chris and Mariana

Hello!!!!

Well, don't get excited I am here on a K-1 and on adjustment of status waiting for my interview or aproval.. meaning waiting to get my green card... so i really don't know how to help you... but I am writing becasue I am also from Venezuela... :-) and we do have a forum here called gente de venezuela, in case you or your wife want to hang out there, we talk about our inmigration stuff but we also talk about our lives... and everytime we need to talk "Venezuelan" ... so if you or your wife wants to join our forum go to the forums link then to regional then to Latin America, mexico and the caribbean and you will see one called Gente de Venezuela. By the way, I visited Costa Rica last year and loved it, our bosses have a house in Escazu and I have a friend who lives there, can't remember teh town he lives in... but I really liked it :-) ... anyways... just saying hello!

Daniela :-)

Hi Chris & Mariana!

I am venezuelan too, and already posted some info in our site called Gente de Venezuela. Any way, I also came with a K1 but I was checking the info at the Embassy of US in Venezuela, and found a similar one to the one with the requirements that we all used for our interview. At list 6 of us went to the interview at Caracas, and learn some very interesting tips from each other and remained friends till today. In the mean while, don't wait for package with instructions, all you need to know and gather for the interview is at this link (Instructions for Inmigrant Visa K3): http://caracas.usembassy.gov/wwwh2473.html

Once you know the package from USCIS has arrived to the embassy you can schedule an appointment via email telling them you have everything ready and it speeds up the process at least 1 1/2 months. We can provide you later of detailed explanation and an example of the email. IT TRULY WORKS!!!

Hope this info helps you to advance and to prepare for following steps.

CONGRATS :thumbs::thumbs:

I do not wish to share any information about this dead end journey.........I have reached my final destination on this train, and it is time for me to get off.

THIS TOO SHALL PASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"If marriage means you fell in love, does divorce mean you climbed out?"

"You never really know a man until you have divorced him."-Zsa Zsa Gabor

"When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife." Deuteronomy 24:1-2

"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on." - Franklin D. Roosevelt

"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us." - Helen Keller

"Even though you may want to move forward in your life, you may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain your old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding you back from a new life. What is it you would let go of today?" - Mary Manin Morrissey
