I-751 issue

Hi all,

I sent out my I-751(VSC) on 8/3 and I am still waiting for the I-797(I read those experience online, I suppose have that). But so far I got words from USCIS. Today is 8/24, I am kind of worry..is that suppose this long? How long should i get NOA for my petition normally? I also want to check my case with the center, if anybody know how to contact(phone#,emeail..), please share with me.

Hi....

According to them....it takes a month to recieve if you dont recieve after that ...you may contact them but usually it comes between 2 to 3 weeks in my case it took almost 2 and 1/2 weeks to get reciept...if you dont hear any thing after 4 weeks you may call national visa center and give your Alien number they will tell you what happenend if they recieved your profile or not....

Have they cashed your check? I would give it a month and then about all you can do is make an INFOPASS appointment, since you can't check I-751s online and the 800# bozos have no way to check them.

I sent with money order. I do have return receipt from post office indicate my mail reach the VSC on 8/6/06, after that no any message. Does that Inforpass need face to face meeting or can speak through phone? Or I will try raj's suggestion to call national service center.

So you have no idea if the money order has been cashed. You have to go into the office for an INFOPASS appointment, since the purpose is to do things that can't be done over the phone. The 800# bozos don't have access to I-751 infomation. I think all they can do is look at the same info people can see online. If it's not online they can't access it either.
