Might be a bit off topic...but if someone is suffering financial loss, how is it they can come up with a grand to expedite...kinda defeats the purpose doesn't it? I'm losing a ton of money by supporting my wife, but I don't qualify for an expedite.

Ive never known of anyone pay a grand for a spousal visa?

You dont pay anything to have an expedited procedure. You have to meet the USCIS criteria to qualify for an expedite.

As far as im aware, you can only pay for an 'expedited procedure' if you are applying for a different type of visa.

You CANNOT pay for a faster process during the immigrant visa application.

As far as im aware, you can only pay for an 'expedited procedure' if you are applying for a different type of visa.

You CANNOT pay for a faster process during the immigrant visa application.

You can...it's called Premium Processing. Costs $1225. But you are correct, expedites are fee-free. :thumbs:

You have to request an expedite at each seperate stage, too. Just because you get expedited approval at USCIS, it is a brand new request and documents at the NVC.

You are right, you can have premium processing but they apply to business or work visas. I can guarantee they do not apply to immigrant visas.

I asked this question with uscis, nvc, renowned immigration lawyers at the beginning before we expedited, in the only manner you can.

Expedites approved recently inlcude military deployment, sickness and financial issues. Well, those are ones that I have personal experience with from other individuals.

If you had no income or lost a job - you'd have to find a co sponsor to overcome that hurdle. It wouldnt be unheard of or cause extra issue.

Health wise - its rare to be denied simply on health grounds. Applicants with TB and AIDS (Im pretty sure) can be approved nowadays.

What about applicants who are Cross Dressers and prefer the feel of smooth silk on their private parts? Are they still getting approved? :rofl:
