Hi everybody thank you so much for the helpful post and replies to this site. Me and my fiancee really appreciate it. We got NOA2 dated November 30th and my fiancee called the USCIS and asked how long it will take for me to get the letter from the embassy and someone from USCIS said 2 months? Does it take that long? Usually, how long does it take to get the letter from the embassy after getting the NOA2? We really thought that it will take just a few days or few weeks because our NOA2 expires March 30th. Depends. From USCIS it goes to NVC (regardless of what the USCIS letter says...it GOES to NVC) Nvc processes it in anywhere from 7 days to 8 weeks, depending on if your case is selected for "additional processing" for some reason or no reason at all. Then it goes to the consulate, which usually takes 3 weeks or so. After that it is a matter of how quickly the consulate processes such things. Ask in the Philippine forum.
