The alternative is go live in another country or find another spouse.

i just wanna get back to something from five pages ago that just caught my eye.

find another spouse?what you think i sat online all day long waiting for an american boy to come sweep me off my feet?

really?what you think we are all greencard diggers that can move on easily.

i thought the good ol phrase :" Love knows no boundaries " was understood and embraced on this website.

That is a dangerous tactic. I am delighted to see that it worked for you, but it could have easily backfired. All it would have taken is to piss the wrong person off, and then your file gets "lost" in the wrong filing cabinet.

Believe me, if I thought this tactic could be used safely, I would launch it in a heartbeat.

BTW for those of you questioning my facts in my congressional letter, you should know that in such a letter, your facts do not need to be documented. I dabbled in politics with the local Republican club, and they taught me a few tricks. One of them is that it does not matter how correct you are as long as you present your words with drama and flair.

For somebody who does not believe in the integrity of facts, interesting how one can criticize something that has actually apparently worked for another. Let's see how your so-called "tricks" work for you.

My heart goes out to all of you who are struggling with the uncertainty of this.

It affects your sleeping, eating, your ability to concentrate. It really is awful.

Something to keep in mind is that the theory that this ridiculous process keeps out terrorists or other "unworthies" is more than laughably stupid in light of estimates that there are over 30 MILLION illegal aliens in the U.S. at this time.

It is far easier to enter illegally than it is to enter legally. It is the law-abiding suffering in this dreadfully broken process. Many law-abiding decent people are kept out of the country while serial killers, rapists, etc. have simply walked across the border.

If you look at what some of the September 11 hijackers put on their visa applications, it is incredible what some of them put down like answering "no" to questions requiring addresses or other places requiring definite information be given. It is clear nobody even read those applications.

The same is true in airport security. As a pilot I see things very differently because I can walk on to the East Ramp of the international airport here where I've parked my airplanes for years with zero security check, and take off with just about any plane I feel like hotwiring. I could put on a maintenance suit and walk right up to a commercial jet and place a device on the landing gear or whatever - there is literally ZERO security. In the meantime all these passengers are submitted to what amounts to strip searches. Just a great big phony show, again punishing the law-abiding while leaving the field completely open to people with bad intentions who can figure out very simple ways to circumvent the show. I could drive out on the runway with a dump truck full of TNT and I wouldn't have to pass a single security gate.

Steel yourselves in the same way prisoners of war do. The callous amongst us can say to buck up, the world is tough so stop being a sissy, but I don't mean that. I mean that you are a prisoner of a terribly unjust system and hope that you can find the strength that others have resolved themselves to in extremely dire circumstance - to commit yourself to not letting them get to you.

In the face of thirty-million plus illegal immigrants running around this country all these callous answers to the plight of the law abiding are nonsense. It does not keep out those thirty million illegals, undesirables, etc. and it did not keep out the September 11 hijackers giving nonsense answers on their applications.

The government is not here to help you with this. They are something to be endured in order to achieve your life with a marriage partner. You will get through this, and I hope that like for us it will be worth it in the end.

For somebody who does not believe in the integrity of facts, interesting how one can criticize something that has actually apparently worked for another. Let's see how your so-called "tricks" work for you.

You don't seem to get this. This is not about morals, integrity, right or wrong, fair or unfair, or any other consideration that may be a worthwhile goal in some other setting. It is about obtaining results for yourself and your fiance in the shortest possible amount of time by whatever means are necessary.

I commented that the phone call barrage was a dangerous tactic, but I am glad it worked. Any tactic that gets BCIS to give us what we are entitled to is a good thing, as was this tactic this particular time. I choose to not use it because I find it too dangerous. If someone else wishes to gamble and give it a try, I hope it works for him too.

Will my political games work for me? I don't know. They might, and if they do, that will be a good thing too. And if they don't, all I lost was a couple of hours of my time. They are a safe tactic and certainly worth a try.

I will not debate this any longer. We are all different. Some of us are passive and will sit and wait until the government decides to give you what you paid for many months ago. If that is what is good for you, then do exactly that. You are not wrong for making this choice if it is the right choice for you.

Some of us will deploy risky tactics like the phone call barrage, and for the risk takers, that is the right choice.

I choose safe tactics, ones that might not work as well as the phone call barrage but will not endanger the end result I am seeking either.

Remember how angry I was at the start of this thread? Well, now that I channeled my anger into these constructive actions, I feel much better.

Do what you believe is best for you and your fiance, all of you.

Well, I checked with Jessa and she agrees with me. If dealing with the Haitians causes our process to be pushed back a few months, we'll just deal with it. We may be apart longer than we like, but it's better than what the Haitians had to deal with.

At least we have Skype.

To the person who wrote that letter--immigration is a privilege, NOT a right, FYI.

I suggest you all read my letter carefully. I never stated that Elena has a right to immigrate here. Instead, I stated that I, an American citizen, have a constitutional right to marry who I please, found in the 1st Amendment freedom of association and in the 5th Amendment right to privacy, and also that I have a constitutional right to expedient service from my government, found in the 5th Amendment right of due process. Right now, BCIS is interfering with both of those rights.

The Haitians, on the other hand, have no rights in this country, only whatever privileges Congress and the administrative agencies choose to bestow on them. If BCIS took a year or ten years or a hundred years to process their petitions, they would not be interfering with the Haitian's rights, since they have none.

So when the question is who should get served first, one exercising his constitutional rights or one asking for a privilege, is there really any question?

To all of you out there ready to choke the government, please google the Saturday Night Live Public Employee of the Year skit. I promise, even if it confirms what you are saying, it will provide some much needed comic relief...

Yea you did :P***And the spouses and fiances we love so dearly are denied their right to live in the homes that are rightfully theirs and instead remain trapped in their countries of origin. ***

Losing faith seems a great topic for us today..

Rachel called again tonight.. (our 5 months expired on the 8th) she was given even more contradictory info. She asked to speak to an immigration officer as some of you guys suggested. She was told that was not possible and she'd have to arrange an appointment at her local office. She asked what the status is with our NoA2 and was told a decision won't be made for another 60 days? Why? because everything was going in order but because they are deatling with TPS people its now all over the place. We looked into arranging the immigration meeting but it seems you have to be reffered there. Im absolutely devastated and at a new low.

I don't know if some of you didnt see the quote from the new york times I put in another thread ref haitians. The government are NOT bringing people from Haiti and giving them visas. In fact they are sending them back. They are actually giving 130,000 haitian illegal immigrants already living in the usa working visas so they can send money home. well they would already have been making money and how hard will it be to claim fraudulantly on that one.. absolute scandal!! Im so upset..

You don't have to be referred for an appointment with an Immigration Officer. Make an INFOPASS appointment at your local USCIS office.
