I already read couple of thread about PCC RPO Ahmedabad.

Here is my situation.

My husband in India already obtain local police certificate under his old passport (which doesn't have spouse name on it)

I read somewhere that passport office will not issue certificate until spouse name is not added on the passport.

If we add spouse name on the passport in "tatkal" it will arrived in 10days according to indian passport website. (We can do this since we have enough time)(I just sent I-864 and planning to send DS-230 with letter to bring PCC at the interview time)

So my question is

since we obtained local police clearance on the old passport and if we add spouse name on the passport they will issue the new passport with new passport # on it. and those information will not match.

Did anybody came across this situation b4. Please help

05/28/2010 Received hard copy of NAO1

10/20/2010 Received hard copy of NAO2

NVC

11/01/2010 Called NVC got NVC case#

11/07/2010 Paid $88 AOS Fees

11/14/2010 Paid $404 IV Fees

11/17/2010 Package of information generated PSU3

12/07/2010 Mailed AOS Packet

12/16/2010 AOS Package entered into the system

12/29/2010 AOS package reviewed and Okay as per the operator (big relief)

12/24/2010 DS-230 package mailed form India (Stuck into the Customs from 29th Dec )

01/08/2011 Received DS-230 package from India

01/10/2011 IV (DS-230) package sent to the NVC via express mail

01/11/2011 IV package delivered at NVC @ 11:01 AM

01/13/2011 IV package entered into the system

01/31/2011 SIF!!!

01/31/2011 Case Completed as per the operator.

02/01/2011 Wedding Anniversary

02/01/2011 CC as per AVR

02/10/2011 Interview date assigned

02/14/2011 Package left to the Consulate

Consulate

02/28/2011 Medical done

03/10/2011 Interview @ 7:30 am APPROVED
