I am having a bad sleep since I have the doubt for sending the inmigration paper provided by DAS in Bogota. Like some people say NVC sends all the documents to the embassy...but I am not sure about that specific paper, cause lately I found out it has to be taken the day of the interview and it has to be opened by the embasst too. So I don't know if I should get that envelope again or if the embassy will get with all the documentation as normally...

thanks for any help or info you can give me...

You need to take the Migratory Movement Letter (Carta Migratoria) that was given to you by the DAS to the embassy the day of the interview. You don't send this to the NVC because they don't request it, only the embassy needs to see it and again it needs to be in the sealed envelope.

The civil documents that the NVC needs are:

* Birth Certificates

* Court and Prison Records (if applicable)

* Deportation Documentation (if applicable)

* Marriage Certificates

* Marriage Termination Documentation (if applicable)

* Photocopy of Valid Passport Biographic Data Page

* Police Certificates

thank you so much for your answer Diana. But I already have my interview date, and I sent that " M.M. letter" to the NVC with the rest of the documents, so my worry is If the embassy will get it from the NVC?, or if I am gonna have to pay for this document again? cause it was the sealed envelope so I don't have copy of it. :wacko:

the letter for interview has the list of documents that were provided by petitioner and aplicant, but they mention Police certificate and the rest...and that's why I don't know If I should get that letter again.

:thumbs: Exactly correct. My wife picked hers up in Pereira last week, it takes a few days so unless your interview is immenint don't worry, get another. God Bless.

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

Since you already have your interview date that means your case is now at the US Embassy in Bogotá. Contact them, preferably via e-mail so you can save a copy of their reply, and ask them if they have a copy of the MM letter you sent the NVC. If they say that they have it, then bring a copy of their e-mail to the interview to prove that they said they had it if they ask for it. If they say that they don't have it, then you will have no choice than to go back to the DAS office and request another one.
