hi guys, keep us updated. i am also waiting for the interview date. our case is a CR1. we were expedited through NVC and they stated that our case was being sent to the consulate on dec.17. im not sure how long it will take for the consulate to receive it or even when they put it in the system. an email i received from NVC said that any question about my case i will need to contact the consulate instead since i am done with the NVC stage. Does manila still send the packet 3 or 4? I tried to call the embassy and emailed a few addresses too but no luck there.

Any of you who posted can answer this. Did they contact the petitioner or the beneficiary in the Philippines to tell you that you can schedule your interview? Like a previous poster said, I was never asked for my fiancee's email address--only mine (the U.S. citizen) on Form I-129F. Should I expect an email from them once the embassy receives the case? Mine should be there now, but the lady I spoke with at the call center said she could not look up the case status =/. I emailed them, too, and am waiting to hear back before my fiancee pays the fee just to make sure that they have my case.

As I said before we received a letter telling us with were eligible to schedule our appointment THE DAY AFTER OUR INTERVIEW.

Dec 01 - NVC sent our case to USEM

Dec 06 - Paid BPI MRV Fee

DEC 08 - Embassy said they received our case

Dec 14 - Scheduled Interview appointment on line. I had been trying since the first, 2-3 times each day.

Dec 16/17 - Medical exam, go in the afternoon, it's quicker

Jan 03 - Interview

Jan 04 - Received letter telling us we were eligible to schedule our interview and directions to the K1 "package" on line.

THEY DO NOT SEND A PACKAGE, and few get the letter I mentioned above.

If you wait for them to notify you, you will be waiting for a long time. It's all up to you.

Faith & Andz

Here is an example of how you have to be careful about the information you get. This post was originally started by a K1 filer. Then a bunch of CR-1 filers jumped on board with responses. All good and helpful people mind you, but I do not believe the CR-1 process is the same as the K1 process. The Adjustment of status people on here now, were CR-1 filers. So I do not know if the AOS process is the same for CR-1 fliers as they are for K1 filers.

I did it also when I first started commenting and asking question here on VJ. I finally got smacked down by IR-1/CR-1 filer when I was on one of their threads. MAKE SURE AND CHECK who the person is responding.

Also check the country they are from, especially if you are talking about an Embassy specific topic.

With the changes that have taken place on December 1st here at the USEManila, anyone that went through this process before December 01, 2010 might not know about the changes.

FYI, one guy that has kept up on all the changes is Tahoma, you can trust anything he says because he goes out of his way to check his information out. he's helped me a ton.

Ok, I got it now and I appreciate it. Per your earlier recommendation, I am not going to wait for them to send something. I was just double checking to see if there was a way for me to verify they had received my case before I got too deep in the process because I didn't realize that you paid your fee BEFORE you found out that the embassy had your case. I think we'll go ahead with the process now since the fee payment is good for a year anyway.

Thanks again and best wishes for you and your fiancee.

You didn't realize that because I forgot to mention it before..LOL, sorry about that.

Yeah, I was just trying to do anything we could while we were waiting around for things to happen.

We also did the CFO seminar just after the interview. Wanted to wait to see if we were approved or not.

So now when we do get the Visa, all Beth has to do is get it stamped, all the rest is done and paid for, even the stamp.
