Okay so after an hour of being on hold I FINALLY GOT TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE and he was able to validate it for me! He said my appointment was valid! Thank God! He just reminded us not to lose the deposit slip because its very very very important.. If you lose it, you will have to pay the fee again!

I guess there are still bugs in their website so when you schedule the interview online, just call to confirm and don't bother trying to look up your file on the site.. this whole new system is just ridiculous!

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Thank you, VJ! smile.png

Hindi ako makapasok sa scheduling. Lagi ko natatangap itong mensahe:

· Please check date of issue of Fee receipt. It is valid 2 working days up to 1 year from date of issue.

I wonder if that means it will take 2 days to be valid?

you know what the weird thing is that it didn't happen to me the first time so i was able to confirm it and then once i tried to check my application then that same message you got came out, but when i called the embassy hotline they said i had done it right.. best bet might be to call even if it takes about 30-45 minutes for someone to pick up.. i wouldnt wait two days to do it! but also it could be because you paid in the afternoon so maybe now it isnt sent to the embassy yet. im sure tomorrow you can do it either online or by phone
