Not an exact reading of my comment however there is a history to the topic of the OP and nothing from Sofyaa in any thread regarding how she feels about it. If she is silent, and she has been, I asked if we might conclude she is in support of both the law and it's application in this specific instance. Her comments are all over the map but studiously avoid the actual substance. I demand nothing from her. But she did state in another thread Pakistan isn't even really a Muslim country, so how anyone can gather anything remotely resembling a valid point on this subject from her helter skelter posts is beyond me.

Any other instance that you haven't misread you care to touch upon?

An exact reading of your comment. You referred to a lack of Muslim posters, in general. Perhaps you need to be more specific in your postings if singling out a single poster was your intent, rather than generalising about all posters who share the same religious background/upbringing.

I responded directly to a post, I don't generalize, as you seem to, beyond the OP being a reflection on the law and it's application in this specific instance. It is you, and a few others who conflate what I say into 'hatred' or 'bigotry' or what have you against all Muslims and Islam. I never said anything of the sort, don't feel anything of the sort.

You need a new schtick dude.

You haven't stated your opinion on the OP either. I have. I believe it, the death sentence for blaspheme of Islam per the OP, is backwards, barbaric, and rather unbelievable in this day and age.

You don't generalise? You have done exactly that in this thread!

Does anyone needs to say that something like this is barbaric in order to avoid any accusation of support or complicity. Stop trying to start a witch hunt. Who the hell do you think you are?

the article itself, while not exactly a bastion of subjective, non-sensationalist journalism, mentions several muslims putting their lives in very real danger by trying to help this woman, speaking out against what's being done to her, and actively trying to get her pardoned. when it comes to putting their money where their mouths are, these pakistani muslims are a whole lot braver than the internet commandos posting shite in this thread. but the "muslimness" of the wretched pos bastards that want to hurt this woman are somehow, magically, much more muslim-ey than the muslimness of the people putting their lives and personal safety on the line to seek justice and freedom for her. that's very interesting, indeed.

Those are facts that the bigots here conveniently ignore. That's because the simplistic thinking that allows those Muslims to go unnoticed is: Muslims are bad, Christians are good, so no one helping her can be Muslim.

Schooled ? I answered your question and then some.

What's sickening and revolting is how some people on this thread blame the media for being biased, blame the OP for posting the article, yet they don't come out and say how barbaric, backwards, and disgusting it is for a mother of five to have spent 18 months in jail and then sentenced to death by a court for blasphemy.

Don't blame the media and/or OP for writing/posting this article, blame the Muslim nut cases for totally ### raping this woman for religious blasphemy. Any poster making excuses and/or blaming the media or OP for what's happening to this woman should be sent to Pakistan to live out the rest of their heartless lives IMO.

I find some posters on here showing total disregard for what's happening to this woman.

And yes the Muslim posters on this thread have further proven my point in regards to certain religions.

And btw when a human being gets sentenced to death for blasphemy it's NEWS.

So, you admit that you post bait threads aimed at making the Muslims on this board prove something to you.

Did anyone hold a gun to your head and force you to post on this thread ? Are the posters on this forum only supposed to post threads that are PC in your eyes ?

Freedom of speech...get used to it.

When a human being gets sentenced to death for blasphemy it's NEWS.

Freedom of speech is a two way street, Why_Ne. Don't b!tch and about how you don't get the speech you demand from others in reaction to your agenda while expecting others to celebrate your twisted and transparent motivations.

You say you demand nothing from me, but have commented several times that I do not give you what you want to hear, even as you state you have no expectations of me. At the same time, you judge me for not jumping through the hoops or falling into the traps set for me. Others see the contradictions from you and Why_Ne. Are you incapable of admitting your games are exposed?

Then perhaps you are not very imaginative. But what participation there is pretty nutty. Just my opinion though but why on earth is the problem viewed as pointing out a mother and wife has been sentenced to death for blaspheme of Islam, but nothing is wrong with the actual fact of the matter? Seems like it would not be hard to say it is wrong no matter if you are or are not a Muslim.

I would be equally as bothered if this was a Muslim wife and mother condemned to death for blaspheme of Christianity, but to the best of my knowledge no such backwards Christian country exists at this time.

Facts are hard to find on this thread. Even the article is biased to start with. But then, I'm someone who doesn't just post articles unquestioned, with no due diligence and then call Muslims "nutty" because they are skeptical of the source.

I will admit to the title being inaccurate. It should have been blunt and to the point. That enough would have been more than enough to catch peoples eye.

Dishonest ? Not hardly.

BTW thank you for posting my "thread history". Take a good look at those threads. Sickening about that woman in Iran isn't it?

This Christian country has the death penalty. It's even been shown that innocent people have been put to death here. Are you sick about that? Nothing in your post history would show that you have done anything to protest or change that in your own back yard. Your lack of interest makes Christians look bad.

I agree.

Funny how this thread came to a dead stop when us kooky believes chimed in...:whistle: We kilted it!

:innocent:

You're kidding, right?

I know if it was my ####### about to get killed by a bunch of Muslim fanatics I wouldn't be thinking so much of martyrdom as to how I could bomb them into submission and escape with my life in the mean time.

You would be amazed how a few F-16's can help people see the errors of their ways.

I would much rather be alive than a dead martyr.

Worth reposting as to the bias and simplistic, xenophobic thinking of this poster.

Why_Ne, are you prepared now to state the obvious? Your responses have proven me right, especially since your concern for human rights doesn't extend to events in other parts of the world that are not predominantly Muslim yet commit grave human rights offenses. This statement . . .

And yes the Muslim posters on this thread have further proven my point in regards to certain religions.

. . . is particularly revealing.

So, I asked you earlier, what is the point of posting repeated negative threads about Islam and Muslims if not to mock Islam, display prejudices, and to demand that Muslims here apologize, grovel and capitulate to your assumptions? Are you ready to throw down your veil of hypocrisy and obfuscation and admit what your post history is strikingly honest about, much more honest than you appear capable of being, so far?

Waiting . . . :pop:

You tend to confuse calling you on your more ridiculous posts with 'demanding' anything of you. Much as you conflate statements on specific issues into blanket commentary on the entire Muslim population in the world.

Back to topic, the death penalty being imposed for blaspheme of Islam, in the Muslim nation of Pakistan is sick, backwards and disgusting. Yah I said it!

I don't think any reasonable person would endorse killing someone over blasphemy. The problem is that the comments in these threads go beyond condemnation of isolated acts.

Of course if I were to say that the death penalty in the christian usa is sick, backwards and disgusting, i wonder how many American Christians would object to being charcterised that way...

killing over blasphemy is NEVER ok.....and i am not trying to excuse it or make small of it because this is a huge injustice against any human........

one thing all of us tend to forget is that Pakistan is a very young country compared to the USA.....our own country had some really messed up laws when we were a young country as well anyone remember studying about the witch trials?
