Hi Everyone,

I'm currently putting together my I-751 package and am having my lawyer double check the form before I send it off (hopefully this week). I'm wondering if I should wait a bit to file or not. My husband and I will be going out of town Dec 19 - Jan 1. I assume USCIS shuts down for at least a couple days over the holidays and I should be safe. I just don't want to come home to find out that I missed my biometrics appointment! My Green Card expires at the beginning of March.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

you can't send it before the 90 days, or it will come back,it looks like you have plenty of time to traval, before your biometrics, say if mailed on dec 19 then seven days later you get noa1 receipt ,with one years extension, then about five weeks you get another letter asc appointment letter for your biometrics , don't worry have a nice trip,

It looks like your 90 day window just barely started. I would say, keep your packet home until after the holidays and send it out beginning of January. By that time USCIS and post offices are back to normal.

If you're really eager on being early send it out the day you leave town. Biometrics app. won't be within the first three weeks anyway, especially not around the holidays. Wouldn't surprise me if your 1st NOA would come in after January 1st.
