Yes, OBX is the record holder in NVC :D

But it is very difficult to beat that time line right now at NVC. Now it takes little longer than that :)

This is the current trend in NVC in normal path.

First 2 weeks: NVC Case#, Email ids registration, DS-3032 emailing, IIN, AOS payment and packet delivery, IV payment and packet delivery

Second 2 weeks: AOS and IV packet entry into NVC computer system

Third 2 weeks: AOS and IV packet review, SIF and CC

You can be proactive only in the first 2 weeks, remaining 4 weeks is the mercy of NVC :star:

Also, many guides here suggest only be pro-active in the first 2 weeks. But there are many other pro-active steps in NVC that many do not know :D

And what exactly are the requirements to be a "qualified candidate"? :P

And what exactly are the requirements to be a "qualified candidate"? :P

Somehow, applicant or the petitioner (OR is important here, because same sex marriage is not considered by the USCIS still, IMO) became pregnant (and some will think it as complicated pregnancy) :P

Somehow, they want to study in the U.S soon :P

Somehow, contagious disease happening in their country :P

Somehow, the petitioner's or beneficiary's health becomig weak :P

Somehow, natural disaster (flood under knee level or below!) is happening in beneficiary's country :P

Now, Saylin, you may come up with your qualifications here :D

I had some other qualifications, but they were only in our situation :P

Interesting qualifications, Loto! rofl.gif

I'd much prefer a "speeding ticket" for an interview date. I can handle NVC. But my consulate (Montreal) is a 5+ month wait. I want lots of speeding tickets for that. :D

Posted (edited)

Lol... yes, one can speed through the NVC.. but the montreal consulate is a major speed bump/brick wall. Quite possibly the most trying part of the whole wait, as it feels like your file is being used as a doorstop/desk pillow in someones office. Last year our case cleared the NVC on the 18th of October and we had our interview on the 11th of February... pretty close to 5 months.

Invictus..

Out of the night that covers me,

Black as the Pit from pole to pole,

I thank whatever gods may be

For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance

I have not winced nor cried aloud.

Under the bludgeonings of chance

My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears

Looms but the Horror of the shade,

And yet the menace of the years

Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,

How charged with punishments the scroll.

I am the master of my fate:

I am the captain of my soul.

Yeah, definitely not looking forward to the wait at the Montreal consulate. It's probably going to feel a hundred times longer than the USCIS stage.
