Hi,

I dont plan on travelling until December 06 and/or April 07, I married on Tuesday and i'm trying to get my packet for AOS & EAD together but I was wondering about the AP.

I understand it can be used to go back and visit family and friends. But are the dates you use it important? I ask this because if i apply for one now for December and dont decide to use it then i.e. can't find a flight or at least a cheap enough flight, can i use it in April? Or will i have to apply for a new AP? We are having a religious ceremony in April and would like to go on a sort honeymoon to the caribbean. But i dont know if it that will work out or not.

I understand they take about 3 months to process?

Thanks

My understanding is that the AP is good for one year for multiplt entries (I have not used it but my friend used it 3 times while his AOS was pending - you just need to make sure that the POE person gives you back a copy (for your next use.) Good Luck

You can apply for your AP along with your AOS. It is taking about 2-3 months for AP's to be approved. The AP will be valid for 1 year. It will be good for multiple trips as long as you request multiple trips when you fill out the I-131. Congrats on your wedding and good luck.

Thats great news! And this is a 100% sure thing that it can be used more than once and is valid for 1 year!

I have already sent my AOS and EAD off as i was unsure about the AP. Where do would i send my AP if i decided to go with it?

You can apply still for your AP document, even if you already sent AOS and EAD. Make sure you check the multiple entries box when you fill out the form. It is valid for one year, and your reasons for travelling could be anything you want (as in vacation, ceremony, honeymoon or whatever). Your AP would be sent to the Chicago Lockbox (same place as AOS and EAD) then it would be sent to which ever service center they sent your other applications.

Good luck and congrats on the ceremony.
