Hi,

I got married to my now wife last week and I'm putting the final pieces of the paperwork together to send to the Chicago lockbox place.

However, i'm a little confused:

How many Photos do I need? I'm applying for AOS & EAD at the same time. Do I still only need 2 or do I now need 4?

so far this is my contents of the packet:

Adjustment of Status Application

Form I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status

Copy of Applicants Passport

Copy of Applicants K1 Visa

Copy of Applicants Spouse’s Passport

Copy of Applicants I-94 (Front & Back)

Copy of NOA2 "Approval" for I-129F

Copy of Applicants Birth Certificate

Certified copy of Marriage Certificate

Check for $395.00 payable to Department of Homeland Security

Vaccination Supplement

Form G-325A Biographic Data Sheet

Two color photos taken within 30 days

Form I-864 Affidavit of Support

Copy of Sponsors Federal Income Tax Return, including W-2s

Application for Employment Authorization

Form I-765 Authorization for Employment

Copy of Applicants I-94 (Front & Back)

Check for $180.00 payable to Department of Homeland Security

You need exactly how many it asks for on the I-485 and the I-765 individually. Treat the forms as if they're seperate and not filed together. If one form asks for 2 photos and another asks for 2 photos, send 4 photos.

Don't forget that they want different kind of pix! 2 pix in normal passport manner and another 2 pix which show your face only 3/4. Dunno why, but they want it that way. Had to argue with the Duane Reed lady to get it done that way!!!!

I sent in 4. But all 4 are the same. Guess I'll wait for a RFE on this one. Why are they two different poses ????

Feb. 15/ 07 --- GC approved

Nov. 17/09 -- I-751 sent (Day 1)

Untrue. All photos are now required to be the face on versions. The 3/4 pose is no longer used by USCIS.

then you argued incorrectly! The requirements are for full front face. All apps require the same.

Nah, you're fine. The form asking for 3/4 pose is out of date, there's a memo on the USCIS website stating that all photos should be in the new format. I sent in 4 indentical photos in the new format, and as you can see from my timeline below, no RFEs.

Good Job i got all 4 of mine done exactly the same!

I had to go to 2 different Drug stores cuz the first one didn't do them. Then i went in search of a non-exsistant Kinko's so i could print my Cover Letter, turned back and went in search of some where i can print. Finally found one near a Wal-Mart it cost me $2 something to print 2 pages off! O well!

I then went and stood inline at the post office and sent my AOS and EAD to Chicago via registered mail!

I hope it goes well!

Cheers for the help.

Oh well indeed, given that the cover letter is completely unnecessary.
