We had our AOS interview, at Boston MA, at the JFK federal building.

this is for our K-1 application.

we arrived about 30 minuted ahead of our 11:00 appointment, but the waiting area was already really full of people.

we checked in and were called in for the interview at about 11:20.

our IO was a nice lady, swore us in and asked us to sit.

she went through the papers and asked to see our passports, visas and birth certificate (for the beneficiary only).

after that she went on to look through the papers and re ask the same questions of the 485 about the drugs\military stuff...

after that she asked to see if we have a marriage licence and a few pieces of evidence of living together, a bill or lease.

we gave her our rent lease, a bank statement, auto insurance statement, and both our MASS ID's with our address on them.

we had prepared a huge album of photos and a ton more documents, pets vaccinations and other bills together..

when i asked if she wants me to pull out anything else, she said she is not doing a I-130, and does not need to establish that we have a viable marriage but only that we actually married within 90 days of arrival.

we had a light conversion about pets and work and how the K-1 is so romantic...

after that she said, you are approved, and that a green card will be mailed in a few days.

she explained about removal of conditions, and that there will be no reminder from them and that we must remember to take action on it when the time is up.

she asked us to wait outside again in the wait area for a letter that states the above mentioned.

the interview lasted about 20-25 minutes, was casual and non intimidating. the IO was very polite and proper.

it took another hour or so for the release letter and that was it!

a few tips:

though we did get all the info we have from VJ, it is important to do your research even here, we read many contradicting accounts and explanations - but what i am trying to say is that all the info you need IS here - you just need to find it. we could not have done it with out VJ forums.

bring some snack with you as the wait might be long.

there is a main entrance to the building on its west side that has a line. there is another smaller entrance on the easterly side facing town hall, no line and much closer to the actual interview room.

i am not sure that what she said about the K-1 not needing to prove the relationship is 100% true for all cases but perhaps it can take some pressure off.

thanks to all the VJ poeple who helped along the way.

good luck to all of you.
