Denied Tourist Visa Problem for K1?

From what I have read of the Juarez reviews they ask if you have been denied a visa before. My fiancee was denied a tourist visa once, because she was a student and could not prove she had strong ties to Mexico. Will this be an issue when they ask her if she was denied a visa before in the K1 Visa interview?

One of the most common reasons for denying a tourist visa is that the consular officer doesn't believe the applicant has sufficient ties to their home country, and is a risk for overstaying their visa. If that was the reason her tourist visa applications were denied then it should not affect your K1 visa application. Ties to your home country are irrelevant with a K1 because they expect you will immigrate to the US.

no , she wanted a torist b/2 visa you need good ties she was denied, don't worry about that,she's okay.....your k-1 is different visa,your fiance and you are engaged to marry in the u.s,, if thay ask about the denial don't lie, because thay know,,chances are thay won't even her about that, good luck

The K1 is essentially an immigrant visa. The lack of ties to Mexico that caused the denial won't be a problem.

And for whatever it's worth, my husband was denied a tourist visa and we had no problems at the K1 interview.

But she absolutely must not lie. They *know* she applied for a tourist visa and was denied.
