USCIS Knows Nothing....Not even the USCIS Director's Name!

So here is some humor to vent some of my anger.

I talked with three different reps at USCIS, one was even a supervisor that I waited on hold for two hours to talk with. Well, turns out that NO ONE there knows that Mr. Gonzalez is the USCIS director or ANY of the following.

1. All NSC I-129F petitions have been transferred to California

2. What IMBRA is or that they had to sent out 10,000+ IMBRA forms.

3. The IMBRA law was signed on January 5th by Bush.

4. The IMBRA law went into effect on March 6th.

5. June 15th was the first day the NEW form was avaiable on the internet at USCIS.Gov

6. What the "Backlog Elimination Plan" is that Bush set forth in 2001.

7. That we are to have open arms and not long lines for immigrating (Bush's Statement)

8. The USCIS goal is to have all processing done in 6 months or less by end of FY2006.

9. NOA=Notice of Action

Now, with all that being said, shouldn't the people who answer the phones and at least be given a memo on who the USCIS Director is for Godsakes!

Oh, and one other thing. I learned NOTHING new when talking with any of them or the supervisor. No one should waste their time talking with them, if anything it makes you feel worse that they don't know anything about anything, therefore your processing may or may not take place.

Oh let me add this in...this is why I am frustrated:

Days Months

Submission to Current

4/4/2006 8/23/2006 141 4.9

102 3.5

Receipt to RFE

4/4/2006 6/28/2006 85 2.9

62 2.1

RFE receipt until today

7/6/2006 8/23/2006 48 1.7

35 1.2

IMBRA Signed Until Update

1/5/2006 6/15/2006 161 5.4

IMBRA Effective until Update

3/6/2006 6/15/2006 101 3.4

IMBRA Eff Date to My App

3/6/2006 4/1/2006 26

Might I also add that only 35 people from the Cayman Islands became a USC last year.....35!

My congressman's office told me yesterday that I-129Fs take one and half years to process. When I tried to explain, gently, that perhaps she was a bit confused about the actual petition that I was calling about, she insisted that one and half years is normal. When I finally spoke to someone who I thought might have a clue, he had no idea what IMBRA was. Moral? No one knows anything!!!!

Is there anyone we can complain to about the 1-800 number? Seriously, it's a waste of time and money. They could probably do away with the number altogether and with the money they save, hire a few more people at each agency and it would work wonders.

Actually if I was that close I would go, honestly. Just to see IF anyone is working there and IF anyone there actually knows what is going on with any of the processing.
