Great STL. I hope this will get things moving for you soon.

The senator's office got back to us today and let us know that the case is in line for an initial interview. They checked with the National Benefits Center and were told that everything is in line and where it is supposed to be at this point, and that there was a slight back log right now for initial interview. Hopefully you will have good luck in contacting his office. They are very nice and quick in getting back with us.

That is good news. Good luck with your case. I hope they will give a little more information since one of the USCIS guys(talked to 2-3 of them on different weeks and all of them gave different answers) said the same. Saying there is some delay in processing of the cases. I am just worried since the usual processing time for this center is 3-4 months. Most of my friends from Bentonville got their processing done within that time frame. I faxed the privacy document yesterday. hopefully will hear from them soon.

To STL_HCMC: 1 hour of drive is not that terribly far away comparing to the value of the US citizenship to us.

to pr_ark : I heard the 1-800 people see the same thing we the applicants see on the USCIS website from the comfort of our homes in regard to the case status.

To me the best resource to get an update on your case is the person sitting at the front window at your friendly local USCIS field office, who can give you more information about your case and these info can be conveniently accessed via an infopass appointment.

I don't know about y'all, but the officer from my local USCIS field office was really nice and friendly to me and I learned my case being approved from this officer (see my signature) about a month ago before receiving the oath letter in mail.

I totally understand how anxious y'all are. Just hang in there! GOD in HIS infinite wisdom will grant you what you deserve.

GOD bless,

Thanks Much Buddy..

Happy new year to everyone... quick update...I called USCIS last week and according to them my case was touched that day(december last week)(do not know what this means or do not know if anything will happen because of this since I have heard the same before sometime in November) and she told me to call them back if I do not hear from the local office in 2 weeks.

STL_HCMC,

Any updates? I have not got any update from the senator's as well. They said they are also waiting for an answer from the Immigration office.

We did hear back from the senator's office and they told us the case was in line for an interview appointment at the local office in Ft. Smith. We have not yet received an interview appointment from the Ft. Smith office. We continue to wait. I did file another e-service request with the USCIS to inquire further.
