ok, now talking to operator at service center... 1hr 15min hold... they asking for same info... passport number, case number, name... lets see what happens.

Ok, operator says that the applicant info will be sent to US embassy for verification and to call back tomorrow to schedule... i ask for explanation on how they will submit info to embassy and who i can contact at embassy to verify they receive the info... operator now attempting to transfer me to supervisor.... another stall tactic.... ok, operator talks to supervisor and tells me that file is at embassy, to call embassy for verification and scheduling... i tell operator i aleady called embassy (last friday) the file is still in the system and embassy could not schedule. the service center does the scheduling..... on hold again as operator is talking with supervisor............ Ok, operator is trying to schedule interview date (so she says . . . .)........... Ok, apparently the supervisor tried to enter the info into the same FAILED scheduling system, of course it didn't work, now operator says that the manager (not supervisor) will be handling the case and will verify all info with embassy and will call me back within the day (today in Phil, or tonight/morning in USA)... i give them 5 hrs to call me back,, if no call, I will call them !!!!! (another stall tactic to get me off the phone as i'm taking too much of their time)...... I'm 99.9% sure they will not call me today.

Good News, logged onto ustraveldocs.com and WAS SUCCESSFUL in making interview schedule.!!!!!!!! After 4 days of calling and complaining, the problem is fixed. So i hope now that everyone else can use the online scheduling system...... ya man.

Congratulations & finally.

Some people were able to schedule their appointments & many were unsuccessful.

There was also a problem with the appointment screens, they have different links to schedule the interview (K1, non immigrant & immigrant links, etc) & some people were scheduling K1 appointments through the Immigrant link - that was not suppose to happen

Also some people were not using the MNL prefix which you need to include.

Since a lot of people are able to schedule their interview appointment it looks like the scheduling system is now fixed.

Great! Congrats!

So does this mean we don't have to wait for 1 month for NVC to schedule, right? Like we can schedule as soon as our case gets to Manila through the process they provided?

Ummmmm maybe. From what i understand, all immigrant (IR) visas are still scheduled through NVC... online scheduling and call center mainly for NONimmigrant visas ( K visas, most common). You can try to schedule online and call center but i know operators will ask you if you have received schedule from NVC.... if you use the call center and dont have interview date from NVC, call center will tell you to wait for the letter from NVC.

Now, if you received the schedule from NVC and want to change interview date, then the call center handles that, not the NVC.... once NVC sends your application to Embassy, the Embassy takes over your application.. any changes to application is done through Embassy.

So, it won't hurt to try for a schedule once your application reaches Embassy . .. worst case, they will say wait for NVC for schedule.......

You do not have to wait. You can schedule online if the "bug" is fixed.

Did you schedule your interview online?

If you did & if I am not mistaken your info say IR2 - that is an Immigrant Visa.

So as previously mentioned, if the "bug" is fixed in the USEM online scheduling system - then IR interview can be scheduled online IF NVC have not already scheduled it yet.

I scheduled online,,,, reason, in my first post... i mentioned that i was scheduled in June 2010 but had to cancel. Since my application was already at the embassy, i had to use online or call center to "reschedule" interview date....

@kfc. if you read the link carefully, you will see that NVC and U.S. Citizenship and Immigrations Services Manila are 2 different services for immigration visas... NVC is through USA, US Citizenship Services is used if you are IN the Philippines and processing the visa through US Embassy Manilia........

If Matt is processing in USA, then application is NVC.... so he will need to wait for schedule from NVC.....

Like i stated in previous post, Matt can only try to see if he can make appointment online/call center.......

So,, the information that i've been posting was info from the call center. Dont know how accurate the info is coz call center operators can be confused at times......

Matt should use the call center and ask them if he could schedule once he receives MNL number........................................................................................

Then there must really be a bug in their system because the interview appointment that I successfully did for a friend is for someone here in NYC. They got case complete by NVC but their interview appointment was not yet scheduled.

NVC isn't taking that long to schedule interview for the Manila Embassy.

NVC sent me the P4 package 6 days after CC (and other people are having almost the same results) so hopefully other people will get an early interview schedule date from NVC without having to go through the online schedule system.
