Ok..my lawyer sent my AOS forms and IV forms right before Thanksgiving. Question is this..do I just call the AVR to see that they've processed it? or Put it in the system? How long should I wait to start calling the AVR? I talked to an NVC operator the other day...she said 20 business days before it's all done and reviewed..I just want to kind of keep ahead in case any RFE's show up on the AVR rather than waiting to HEAR from NVC.

much thanks and prayers for my homey in the UK. We will be Victorious!!

CRN,

Calling NVC AVRS/Human must be a daily exercise :star:

What NVC said 20 business days is correct, after all your package delivery is done.

I'd give it 5 business days then start calling. Don't freak out if you get a false RFE, common with NVC. It means they've entered your AOS ahead of your IV (or vice versa) and technically they are 'missing' something. Always speak to a person and don't rely on the AVR

Good luck

Oh, I just wanted to save myself some stress...wanted to know the BUFFER period before I start calling daily. Thanks for the advice on the 'false' RFE, I'll make sure if something suspect is on the AVR I'll be getting a hold of the operator.

Hello..

Ok, I'm very confused (as usual!) and this website has always helped me with my other questions so apologies for this one aswell!

We sent off the DS-3032 to the NVC on 26th October 2010. My husband (my choice of agent) in the US hasnt had any paperwork through regarding the AOS fee so I called the automated number this weekend. It says the letter was generated on November 6th - I wondered if it should be with us by now as its been 4 weeks?

I logged in online and it said that payment for the AOS and the IV application was awaiting (and did give me the option to pay online then and there) but i thought we had to wait for written instruction to do this. Has anyone else's taken this long to get your AOS fee bill through the mail?

Any thoughts would be so helpful, thank you in advance.

Joanne

login and pay it online..asap..then you get the instructions, or call and ask them where's the letter..have them email you and your hubby with that info..but to make the shortcut and save time...go login on their website and pay the thing...it'll take a few days to say paid..then send in your AOS.

The key to successfully navigating NVC is to be proactive. If your fees are available to be paid online then do so. Once the payments have been accepted you can print out the bar-coded cover sheet and mail your packages in. When we navigated NVC in 2009 we did not receive anything in the mail from them until our case was completed!

Have a look at the following links to familiarize yourself with the process. Good luck.
